Kayak weighs 40 lbs. Winter storage in garage. Replaced the wall hooks it came with. Used heavy duty 4.5 inch eye screws instead. Also used a center strap in the middle to help with the weight. Kayak will be in storage almost 6 months. I secured the kayak in the holder before I hung it up. It was easy to set up, and I had help putting the hooks through the eye screws to hang it. Excellent product. Worth the price. Works well for winter storage, but that is only what I would use it for.

Perfect solution for hanging a kayak under another kayak.. I threaded the hooks into a stud & hung the straps upside down & put the hooks thru the handles.. then I used the tension buckles to raise the kayak. Works like a champ!

These hook straps work well for holding any large objects on a wall, or from a winch system - not just canoes, but car roof boxes, eskies and other items. Make sure you loop the straps through the latches properly or they won’t hold weight

Wish they were alittle lo ger but it works great

My husband and I purchased a pair of kayaks in August of last summer and wanted something to hang them with for our garage. I had found these on Amazon and they were a great price compared to all the other alternatives. When they arrived we immediately tested them out and hooked them up to the beams in our garage to see how they'd work. The material is fairly sturdy and the screw hooks they provide are pretty strong. It was easy to mount the kayaks (though I needed hubby's help to loop it around the kayak) but once we had a system going they were easy to adjust height wise to where we needed them to be :)
