This is an overall well made product. It's sturdy and sound when put together and holding items. My only gripe with it came while putting it together. The item comes with clips that are set together over the legs and then the shelf is lowered over the clips to give a tight fit that prevents the shelf from moving. The instructions should a good illustration of how to assemble the shelf using these clips and the legs. However, there is not reference to the correct orientation of the shelf. Because it is made of wire, I originally put the shelf upside down when trying to fit it over the clips and secure it to the legs. I was very frustrated that the clips weren't fitting correctly in the shelf holes. Once I realized my error though, everything went together very easily. I give the overall product a five star rating but if the directions were written or illustrated a little bit better to avoid this confusion, I would have given it five stars in all categories. So, you know all that dead, empty space in the bottom of your linen closet? You know, that space where the builders know they could have given you at least one more shelf? This ended up being the perfect size to fit right in there. I hated how things were just crammed into the bottom, and now, it helps it look and actually be much more organized. The closet space measures just barely 24"; this shelf is 21". I assembled it in the closet, if that gives you an idea of the ease of assembly. Only thing: pay attention to the direction of the shelves. The manufacturer's name will actually be upside down (at least it was for me), to give you an idea of the direction of the shelves. I tried the shelves in what would be considered "right side up", but they kept knocking off the plastic pieces that secure them in place instead of sliding over them. I didn't have that problem when I flipped them over. It even provided a little lip to keep things from sliding off the shelves.

There are many open shelving units that are bigger. For the most part they are all similar, made of heavy steel with a chrome finish. This is a version of that design, but scaled down and less sturdy. The shelves and uprights are painted gray and the poles are about half the diameter. Since the larger, more sturdy units can be bought for about $60, this seems a bit overpriced. But I needed something to fit in a tight space and this was the only shelf unit that fit. Assembly was easy and quick. Assembled the entire unit in about 20 minutes. Directions were quite clear. Product came well packaged so the parts were well protected.

I bought this so I can unclutter my kitchen island. After assembly (which was kind of difficult because instructions where in badly translated Chinese), the shelving felt really unstable. But once I started loading it with items it became a lot more stable. Things still fall of it, so keep them away from the edge. But it is definitely a good shelf solution.

I bought two of these shelving units. Photos show them as chrome but they are a flat, ugly, dull light grey color instead. Immediately makes them cheap looking. Next there are no written instructions, only drawings. So it is guesswork all during assembly as to where to place the black holders and shelf heights. Once you get it all assembled the top caps are completely loose. All corners of all shelves do not tighten down completely. Good thing I bought these to place in a pantry closet or I'd be embarrassed to show them. They do come with opaque shelf liners. I will have to report back on how the shelves hold up to put canned food and other food products on them, hoping the shelves don't sink or collapse. NOT recommended to buy.

I almost gave up on this thing. It is janky. I’m not returning it but it took me a bit to figure out. See my pictures. The black snap on pieces will be clipped on first and then your shelf will lower down on top of them. This is where you get your stability. Use a rubber mallet to pound the shelves into proper place. The lip of the shelf goes up. This is where I originally made my mistake, but as long as you look at the writing on the pole holes you’ll see the correct direction of the shelf. Only then will it lower down onto the black clips. Duh! Took me awhile. Only one clip is needed for each hole, obviously.. but at first I was trying to put a clip above and a clip below. Incorrect. At first I was not happy and like another poster below I thought it was junk. I have yet to see sturdiness and it’s a tad off and has a minor wobble. Kind of like that table at the restaurant that you have to stick a napkin under one leg. It’s not the greatest shelf unit but for canned food storage in my kitchen area it will be ok. Still janky though.

Purchased for under counter storage in the space that used to be our dishwasher. Mine holds our breadmaker, Instant Pot, toaster, stand mixer, just all kinds of stuff, very sturdy and well-made. It was very easy to put together as well. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I bought this 3 shelves wire unit to put in my laundry room to make things a bit more organized and keep my washing powder and what not off the floor. It was the perfect height for my needs and easy to assemble, didn't take me but maybe 5 minutes to put it all together and it seems sturdy to me.
