2 1/2" x 20' Clear Flex Hose

This is a quality hose that I use in a one person home woodworking shop. My DC system consists of a Harbor Freight Dust collector modified with a  Killer Filter Replacement for Donaldson/Torit P151244-016-436  (review has pictures of modifications). I move the hose from machine to machine as I work, and the hose here is great for connecting the 2.5 in devices in my shop. The hose is easy to cut to length and stays in place pretty good even with out the hose clamps being used - since most of the time the install is temporary. If I had fixed hard lines, this is what I would use to make the "last mile" runs.

Ordered this 2.5" clear hose to fit my central dust collection apparatus and turned out to be huge. I'm confused, here are three "2.5 inch" dust collection hoses, and they are three different sizes. Best part is when I went to return the hose, the customer-centric folks at Peachtree Wouldnotworking would NOT cover the shipping costs. USPS wanted $18 to mail it back on a $31 item. When my wife called to prove her skills were better, their rep told her that, "he got a good deal on the price, so we don't cover returns." I guess the buyer must truly beware. The good news is that my wife did find a better mailing price and Amazon customer service was darn near perfect, overcoming the unhelpful service at Peachtree. Go Amazon!!My impression of the hose - seemed okay, albeit a bit heavier than would be ideal. No idea of how it performed cuz it fit nothing. See photo. Theirs is the one on the right. I bought this to use for vacuuming up excess blown-in insulation in my attic. I rigged a crazy setup using a large trash can and my shop-vac, and this hose. It worked pretty well. It was nice to have a clear hose, so I could monitor how well the material was moving, and if I was getting any blockages. The coil in this hose is very strong (I tried to bend it a bit to fit it into my contraption, and was unable to, that's how strong it is. No way this will kink), and the plastic is heavyweight.

This is an excellent and cost effective way to get your shop dust collection under control. I will buy again.

Very good product,don't waste your money at a box store this is far better. I use it on a bee vacume and can now see blockages.

Update: I liked this so much, I bought a second one. Our garage in our next house was larger than the first so I got the second one and I connected it using some spare craftsman shop vac connectors. Now I can leave the vac in the corner.Original:I got this hose to use with the Oneida Molded DIY Dust Deputy Cyclone sold by Amazon. The hose is semi clear, that is as clear as can be as a hose. It has a nice wire that runs throughout it for those who might want to hook up a wire for static electricity.When used with a shop vac, it will return to its smallest position due to the air being sucked through it. It can be over come but pulling it - just so you know it will happen.Because it tries to return to its smaller state when detached it makes for easier storage but because it is so flexible, it can get away from you.
