We have some pretty funky well water so we use an aeration system to oxidize the sulphur and iron out of it. This filter catches all of the solids and leaves our water taste and smell free for at least a month per filter. It’s well worth the cost.

Super inexpensive way to greatly improve your quality of life.

Current Review, 04/26/2023. To prevent the inner lining from clogging the output, you must introduce water pressure SLOWLY. I barley crack open the supply water valve from the pump. Listen for the water to slowly fill the filter housing. After you know the filter housing is full, open the supply valve fully while using a slow steady opening. This is the only way I can use the filters without the inner linings failing.Previous Review: I was running two in line, 10-Inch Whole House Carbon Block Water Filters. These inline filters are used on a shallow well pump with an output pressure of 55psi. I replaced both filters after a week because of excessively reduced water pressure. The water pressure remained reduced.An examination of the filters showed a blockage in the first of the two in line filters.The picture is of the first of the inline filter. The pictures are of the same filter.The first shows the inner membrane bunched up in the output, blocking flow.The second shows the inner membrane detaching from the filter wall and that is what allowed it to block the outlet as shown in the first picture.Use a different type of filter for the initial water input or maybe a different brand for the first of any 10-Inch Whole House Carbon Block Water Filter

My canister wouldn’t seal when I put the filter in. Tried everything & decided to go buy a same type filter at Lowe’s & Hone Depot to see if they worked. Yep, both Lowe’s & Home Depot filters worked with no leaks. So I compared the length of these POC filters with the Lowe’s & Home Depot ones. These filters were 1/8” to 3/16” longer than the Lowe’s & Home Depot ones. The canister can’t tighten against the seal because they’re too flipping long. DO NOT BUY THESE because they won’t fit the standard canisters they’re suppose to. Very poor quality control with the manufacturing. I’d have given this a 0 stars if that was possible.

Definitely worth the money! Get 3x the use. Was buying from a big box store and was changing every month. Was getting expensive. These will last 3 to 4 months. We have a family of 4.

We take water from a lake and during the summer months we have to chlorinate it heavily to kill the blue green algae. Carbon filters are needed to get rid of the taste. It's been almost a month since I installed the first one, and they do work, the water is obviously cleaner and doesn't taste like chlorine, but the first one is almost clogged after less than a month.

I just replaced the first set of these filters and i am very impressed with how well they performed. This product is much less expensive than some other brands so I wasn't sure what to expect. After using a set (one white and one charcoal) I have no reservations about recommending them. Our town water supply is not always clear, so these filters were put to the ultimate test. When I changed the filters, they were brown, yet the water at the faucet was clean. These things work!!

Having been supplied with pleated filters when I bought my filter, from another manufacturer - that measured 10" x 4.5" - I felt assured all would be well.. not so, initially on install the compression felt way too soon for the thread left to close on the housing unit which resulted in the top compression rubber being cut, rendering the filter useless.Some research later I now understand that the filter should actually be 9 7/8" .. these carbon blocks fit correctly! Flush the water, 10 mins with a tap running and the water looks and tastes great?I can't comment on the long term use as I'm on a private supply and the quality is variable (I've a spin down flushable filter before this unit) so only time will tell, that said at half the price of unusable filters previously supplied I can't complain. Highly recommend 👌👍
