It did not require brute strength to carry, or a team to hold it down from blowing away. We carried extra 2 poles in case we needed them, but never used them. Once you get the hang of how to orient the SunShade into the breeze, it just is a joy to sit under, on a towel or on a folding beach chair. And take down was even faster, and no one risks their lives if a storm pops up on the beach. Buy the large size, you always need more space, since your friends won't be able to use their traditional tents after they collapse and blow away. LOL! Tip - also buy a larger storage bag to pack up more quickly and easily - I had an old sleeping bag compression sack that easily held everything without any struggle packing it into the small stretchy bag that comes with this product.
