This is a nice mug
The Japanese mug is as I expected. We prefer to eat our cereal and soup in mugs as opposed to bowls. These mugs are as described, however, I would like one slightly smaller. I think around 12 ounces but these are as close as I could find. It is nice and we are using it.

Pretty mug.
Likes: Very pretty design and coup shape. Nice size. Easily holds 10 ounces. Comfortable handle.Dislikes: Tag on bottom said 'Made in China'. Description implies it's Japanese made. (Maybe outsourced by Japanese business.) Handle gets as hotter than expected, compared to other mugs I have (e.g., Eklund songbird mug).

Large cup/small bowl, great for soup
Very cute! Large bowl could hold a big cup of coffee or soup. Probably better suited for soup though because it cools off pretty fast so usually coffee gets too cool before I finish it.
