Gilded Tarot Royale

I bought this deck because I have the full size deck and it (was at the time of writing this) favorite. I connected right away with this one as well. The artist does beautiful work, I will buy every deck he has done... I saw comments about initials in the cards... Not sure what that was about because I see absolute class and any intials that are seen are seen in the r&w set as well. These are colorful, meaningful and easy to connect to. The card stock is good quality, I found them easy to shuffle with beautiful art work, easy to interpret even for beginners. They do not come with a book, I did not expect a mini deck to come with one. There are tons of great guides out there if you need one.

People don't really seem to get that the mini really is a small deck. It's roughly 3.5 to 5 in height and like 2.25 in in width. The whole deck fits in the palm of my small hands. I definitely think the mini deck isn't as bright as the full sized deck. It's still a very well detailed and very beautiful deck. The mini cards are on the thinner side, but they don't seem to be flimsy. I'm a casual user, however this deck has been used more than any other I own and I have had no issues. The artist did a great job with all the symbolism and details. I notice something new every time I use it.

This is a beautiful deck. I wish the book was in color but the artwork of the cards is gorgeous. The card weight and size is superior. Purchase the kit. Rewarding.

They are so dag gum cute! Great for carrying with you, rather than the large decks or for clarifying and still seeing the cards underneath. The cards feel like a regular deck of cards, not the paper card stock that wears quickly and becomes hard to shuffle. They can be a little slippery when trying to shuffle such a small deck though. All I need is a durable case. I wish they came in a small fold over box, rather than the regular cardboard box that will likely fall apart on me. I will find something.

this deck, while extremely lovely, is smaller than i thought, coming in at just under 3 inches...but that's no one's fault but mine lol fortunately, i have smaller hands. it is still perfectly portable and useable, and the colors are vibrant and expressive. i look forward to purchasing the larger deck.

I'm sooo happy the publishers have made this deck available in the mini size!! The deck, in any size, is one of Marchetti's best!! I had the pleasure of speaking with him many years ago as we were both forced to miss the tarot convention in Oregon that year. His mom was ill & hospitalized in Europe and I myself was also too sick to go. But Mr Marchetti and I had emailed and I'd chosen to purchase some artwork from him. He's a complete professional as he remembered me wanting a painting of the High Priestess from this very deck & thanks to his kind, caring ways, the High Priestess now hangs on my bedroom wall!! I'd always wanted a copy of The Tarot Royale but could never afford or find a 1st edition. I'm very pleased with this edition and the mini size cards fit my tiny hands perfectly!! This deck doesn't come with a Companion book so I'll be purchasing the standard size set asap! Another of Marchetti's sets that I adore and which can be purchased on Amazon, is Legacy of the Divine Tarot! It was my first-ever Tarot set along with a Morgan-Greer deck. I guess the original RWS images just don't resonate with me as well as I like. No matter which of Ciro's decks or sets you purchase, you won't be disappointed. Many label his work as Steampunk in genre but Ciro Marchetti himself dubbed his style of artwork as "Retro Tech" long before "Steampunk" became popular. Many prolific readings to all...!! 😉

This is a lovely deck and for somebody who has small hands, really easy to use. The illustrations on the cards are beautiful and colourful, and the quality of the card, is excellent, with a nice finish. A really lovely little deck and easy to take with me anywhere I go due to the size. It is very easy to read the cards too. The size of the cards, do not interfere in that way.

First off you should know this is a real mini deck, under 8cm high. The pocket size decks usually range between about 9cm and 10cm high and if you're expecting that average pocket size you'll get a shock. I would recommend looking at product measurements before buying with any pocket or mini deck. I knew what size it would be when I made the purchase so I got exactly what I expected. The other thing to note is that this deck comes in a little tuck box. I would certainly prefer a tin or a hard two part box, but deck and box arrived in perfect condition and again, I knew what I was getting. That said, as this deck is borderless, the artwork is still clear and pops beautifully. The artwork is also exquisite. This deck is true to the Rider Waite Smith system and in my opinion is suitable for readers of all levels. It's an appealing and friendly deck while still being accurate and it's lovely to look at. The compact size makes it very easy to carry around. If you have trouble shuffling this deck my work around is to turn it sideways (lengthwise) and then it'll riffle shuffle just fine. I have been using it daily for multiple readings and have been very happy with the quality of the cardstock, so far it's held up perfectly. I do wish Llewellyn would re-issue this deck in a hard box or tin and an ever so slightly bigger size. That said I'll still give it five stars because it's gorgeous, great quality and it was very inexpensive.

A carta é bem miudinha mas é um deck otimo para levar na bolsa, a arte eu achei linda e rica em detalhes mesmo na carta pequena. A unica coisa q nao gosto é a caixa, mas comprei sabendo q seria essa caixa q não é durinha como os da Lo Scarabeo. Fiquei feliz com a compra e adoro o autor/artista Ciro Marchetti.

Es el set más hermoso de mi colección. Ciro Machetti ha creado una obra maestra con sus maravillosos dibujos repletos de detalles y color, con su creación del "Guilded Tarot Royale"
