You get what you pay for and of course this isn't a Wolf or any other high end brand winders. I usually buy "Eastern" brands as they are "cheap and cheerful". I have always wanted to have them by my bedside but the mechanisms are usually too loud for me.This is a bit more expensive than usual but I had a voucher to use and I've never had a 5 setting winder before. Plus the quietness of the mechanism interested me to have by the bedside.Good: the mechanism IS quietness. So the sound disturbances that effect people is subjective but I can sleep with this mechanism. Everything works well. The 5 modes work as specified and the watch holders are fit for purpose (I kept the holder extensions from my previous ones to use as I my wrists are large so are my watch bracelets).Bad: bizarrely the mains adapter has a "blue light" on the top so when it's plugged in the blue light switches on - and during the night my half of the bedroom has a blue glow. This means I STILL can't sleep. The workarounds are black tape/unplug overnight.If it wasn't for the strange blue light on the mains adapter I'd say this is one of the best "cheaper" winders.

Quiet motor, nice finish to the case. Very good value.

Seems to do what it says on the box nicely finished for the price.Can't comment on longevity as not had it very long but it's in the bedroom and very quiet

Quality finish very quite

The product is good, and the noise is really low but after 4 months it started to stuck, mainly when i leave it off and I turns it on again, I need to turn with my own hand otherwise it stays stucked, and using 1.5V batterys it doesn't work... So 3 starts is actually very good for this product.

This thing is sturdily built and is attractive. It's easy to use and seems to be doing the job. Your watch is supposed to be fully wound before you use this machine but that is easily done - (I found out on the net that you just have to manually shake/swing your watch at least 400 times to achieve which is much easier to do than it sounds. I did it much more than 400 while watching TV. It's what your right arms for - no....)THEN you shove the watch in the machine and it keeps it going - short of wearing it. This machine is designed to keep watches with kinetic capacitors going - you don't need it if your watch is a wind up or has a standard quartz battery.The motor is totally silent BUT there is a knocking sound when the holder rotates - mine does it when it rotating anti-clockwise so that's really annoying. Value for money?? For build/what it looks like I guess I'd say yes - it's a nice "display item. I have the piano red style. For what it does - meh! it winds your watches - so what. But on the other hand what use is a stopped watch so I guess they've "got you". BTW - my watches have been stopped for at least 18th months and are now working perfectly

It works, it keeps my watches ticking which to me is the priority and it’s quiet. However, the quality is very poor - I had to reassemble the internals when it arrived so I saw what’s inside the shiny exterior. The “glass” is soft plastic that was flawed when it arrived.

Great quality given the price, the motor is really quiet and as I have it in my wardrobe you really cannot hear it. The only negative I have is the the watch pillows are not large enough. If you have a small wrist the watch will fit snug and tight but a slightly larger strap size and the watch slips as it rotates so I have had to pad mine out using a lens cleaning cloth so it sits tight around the pillow. Overall would recommend and would get a 5* if it wasn't for that one small issue.
