Great affordable cooking with style.
As a loving husband and father, I am always looking for new things to bring to the table for dinner I recently found out about Moroccan food and purchased a book and this along with personal experiments. We are having a great time with this item. It is super affordable and works a little better than a Dutch oven I have been Moroccan food Cuban food and we have even done sourdough bread in this and compared it to our Dutch oven and the sourdough came out better in this! I absolutely love this item and it’s a conversation piece also.

Great Product
Although a bit heavier than expected, the Tangine is a quality product. Definitely worth the purchase price!!

I own a fine dining restaurant where we serve tagine meals....I also have a cooking school.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional this is the perfect tagine - look no further. No cracks, no pre-seasoning, no worries. This is it! I use these for my cooking school to teach how to cook tagine meals. This cast iron, heavy duty tagine is up to the challenge of allowing you to prepare the tastiest and best looking meals to your family. Presentation is already assured! Serve right from the tagine. Your family and friends will be so impressed! Unlike stupid kitchen "gadgets" this is a kitchen must that you will most definitely will use daily and with care will be used for a lifetime! Here's a quick pic of my tagine in use in my home kitchen. I was browning boneless/skinless chicken thighs to which I will add veggies, orzo and various seasonings, The shape of the cover automatically renders the most beautiful sauce, flavor and moisture to your dish....just add ingredients, cover and voila - Dinner is served...and this time to me... for a change :)

Great product!
We bought this to cook up some Moroccan dishes and love it. It looks so nice, cleans up well and we’ve made some delicious meals in it both with the cover and without. My son has even decided that he wants one as a house warming gift when he moves out in his own.

Absolutely beautiful and well made
Gave this to my sister who’s favorite for is Indian. She LOVED it! It’s quite well made and like like a work of art. Extremely heavy but I imagine it’s durable because of that. Came with recipes. Super happy with my purchase.

Needs practice
I bought this tajine to replace a clay one after its lid fell and broke. The first dish, chicken with veggies came out fine. The second one, beef bourgignon, did not. The recipe required oven cooking, so instead of the tajine lid, I used a flat lid from another pot. The wine and stock liquid remained very soupy even after almost two hours of cooking so I added some buttered flower to thicken it and returned the pot in the oven on lower heat, 300F. After another couple of hours the sauce almost completely evaporated and became too brown. I added more wine, port and beef broth to improve the taste, but the meat was overdone by then. So cast iron works completely differently from a clay tajine. It has its advantages ( you can brown the meat directly in it) and disadvantages (it is very hard for me too get it foo cook slowly - the temps always seem high in cast iron). The clay tajine needs different kind of care and it can crack even if you use a diffuser, but if you want real slow cooking and can obtain low, even temperatures on your stove, you will get excellent results. I need a recipe book for the Kook and more experience to give it a proper evaluation.

Makes delicious tagine dishes
As soon as I got it I made a chicken, dried apricot and cinnamon dish that was delicious. This tagine kept the chicken tender, stewed the apricots and other ingredients beautifully and was easy to clean in the end. It is also attractive enough as a cooking vessel to leave out on display when not in use. In short, a great buy.
