awsome
Best play I ever read. My goal is to play White. Nobody gets to the bare bones of humane existence like Cormac McCarthy. Some people find it depressing. I found more light than darkness and although it doesn't have what you call a happy ending, I found it uplifting. Having spent my formative years around characters much like Black, he really came alive to me. Two guys sitting at a table talking for two hours, sound boring? Not on your life. The piece is riviting from start to finish!

Life's Crucial Question
One of Cormac McCarthy's best works; this dialogue between and Black Man and the White Man Black has saved from a suicide attempt in a New York subway station asks the question: if we don't have anything to live for, why do we go on living? There are no pat answers here, but there may be redemption, if we look deeply enough into the narrative.
