This little cable is the perfect charging solution for my Surface Pro 6 (SP6). It makes the SP6 compatible with all of my existing USB C PD fast chargers and cables. (I also use the newest 3rd generation 9 pin magnetic cables everywhere.) I can easily move from room to room, and even charge my SP6 on the 45W PD charger in my truck. It charges just as fast as on the original Microsoft power supply, which I don't have to carry when I travel any more. Read the requirements for charger and cable carefully. (45W, 15v / 3A) You will love this little thing! --------------- Update. After using this for a while, I did notice the same trackpad issues that others have reported. The trackpad on the microsoft cover/keyboard is not as responsive when charging with this cable. Not a deal breaker for me, but it is annoying. If you need to charge and use the integrated trackpad, you might have issues. ---------------

Works fine with the required charger and cable. Also found it works with a smaller usbc charger I have that does 20V at 2.25a. Didn't check charging speed, but it was enough to light up and for windows to recognize it's charging. Works as expected. I can use my other usbc charging blocks/cables instead of lugging the surface brick around.

Worst products ever! Don't buy this or any other cable from them. They don't have stable charging. It charges, stops, charges, and so on... I do have the required PD and cable to use with this adapter. Simple refund , but an annoying waste of time.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do, provided that you are using a proper charger. Using it both with a Surface Go (original model) and an SP Pro 6 - and no problem with multiple chargers. Definitely a good pickup if you want to be able to charge using USB-C and not eat up the only port (especially on the Surface Go).

4stars because I wish it charged faster - I use it to charge my Surface when I’m traveling - using a 20v laptop USB-C charger, and it still charges “kind of slow” - I’m guessing here, but about 50% in a half an hour - and one of the “tells” is when I look at the charging state with this connected it always says something like “reduced power charging” where the desktop charger just does it normally - I would’ve liked if it had the protocol to charge like the desktop one. It does require 15v or more USB-C charger, one of my chargers won’t do that, and it seems to try to charge at 1% per hour or something

These adapters make it possible to use standard USB-C cables and 45-65 watt chargers you probably already have in your should bag or briefcase to charge your Surface Pro. Great product.

So a lot of people on all of these different types of adapters complain that "this device was worthless!" And the reason for that is that they really don't understand how the Surface works. You cannot use just any usb c charger and this adapter. The charger must put out a minimum of 45watts in order for this to work. I have a ravpower 60w battery pack that keeps my surface charged for hours. I also have another power bank with a PD port that won't charge it at all, not even a trickle! What's the difference? The watt output. The adapter works and it works well. I haven't had it for long and can't speak to it's longevity but it feels pretty sturdy and it doesn't feel cheap and creaky like the cheap plastic products. If you need an adapter and don't have a 45 watt or more adapter buy one or keep moving but don't review this like it doesn't work. I actually taped mine to the back of my surface so it's semi permanent but I can always charge via usbc now and don't have to carry the actual charger.

Sadly, these wear out just as quickly as the regular chargers...after about 3-6 months of use. Right where the cord enters the round tube, the connection becomes poor. Great news is, these only cost 10 bucks to replace, versus the entire charger. Buy backups...
