Great quality
Finally, I got my Fuji X-T20 to stream, yuppie!Great quality, very easy to use, quite sturdy and very portable. It was pretty much plug and play for me, and every app now recognises it. I've tested it with Zoom, Skype and Whereby and I'd like to do some experiments with OBS and eCamm - so far, so very happy, thank you!

Great while it lasted
This worked perfectly on first installation. I ran it over old ethernet (e.g. cat 5), dedicated rather than through a hub. However, after about 6 months the picture became intermittent so the sending end had to be power-cycled regularly. Now, after just over a year, the receiving end is dead. Purchases within the EU are supposed to have a 2-year guarantee, but I can't find any way to contact the vendor. This is a very expensive item to turn out "disposable".

Works great but difficult to set up and some design issues
This really does a great job when it's set up. I have a cable tv box that send the signal over Cat5e to two different TVs and the picture quality is really good. There are some negatives to be aware of....You'll need a gigabit network switch and you'll need to be able to set up a virtual network. The boxes have no fixing points so have to sit on a shelf. I was hoping to keep the boxes and the wires out of sight but it's difficult with the way they're designed. The UK power supply is huge. My plug points in the bedroom are behind the TV but this power supply is so big I have to have the TV stand out from the wall.Overall great when it's working but a shame there wasn't more thought about how it could be hidden away in domestic use.

Didn't work on my network
I've used direct-cabled baluns for HDMI over ethernet (cable) before and they work great. I purchased this item as, in this instance, I could not run a cable between source and destination, but had an existing LAN infrastructure. This item is described as working over a network / switches. It does not.I have a full unifi setup. The very meagre instructions indicate that a VLAN would be necessary and as soon as I connected up the devices, I could see why. They sender floods the network with data and in my case, caused a number of devices to crash and rendered my network and internet unusable. No matter how I tried to contain the devices and their data to a specific and isolated vLAN, the flooding never ceased and I had to give up in the end. I finally reconfigured my network so that I could use the single ethernet cable run between source and destination locations as a dedicated run for these devices, thus bypassing the network. It runs fine in this mode, but then so do many other competing devices. However, this cause not inconsiderable inconvenience and I could not recommend this product for use on a network. The inadequate instructions, inability to change IP address and lack of indication of protocols in use are all negative factors. On the plus side, it works OK in 1080p mode for direct connections (but not for 4K - gives a green tint to picture). The IR transmission feature works OK.Avoid.

Works straight out of the box
HiRolled out 55 metres of RG59 coax, tried this on the bench before installing it, I was a bit unsure, but yep it did what it says, no issue with image which was 1080P.Quite frankly I was gobsmaked. What a brilliant idea to run HDMI over existing coax

Does what it says on the box but nothing special.
You get what you pay for with a £100 streaming box.The item itself is very easy to set up and begin using, and for someone looking to connect a simple camera or games console, this could work very well.It fell short when connecting my BMPCC4k Camera to it, I noticed the box would really reduce the picture quality for streaming, blacks would be crushed, there is a slight yellow tint to everything and dynamic range is drastically affected, I wouldn't reccomend this box for any 'serious' streaming.

Can't make it work with my Sky Q box
My TV reports "no signal" when I connect my Sky Q box to my TV via this product. If I power-cycle the Sky Q box I can see the usual "Hello" message followed by "Sky" and "You will be ready to go in a couple of minutes" and then the TV reports no input signal.I'm in touch (via Amazon) with the manufacturer in China, but I suspect this device may prove not be compatible with Sky Q.6th Dec 2020 After correspondence with manufacturer, concluded that this product isn't compatible with Sky Q, although I was able confirm it worked with the HDMI signal from a laptop. I returned it as I had bought it to extend Sky Q to another room over Xmas, through existing Coax cable.I received a refund promptly.
