Excellent 65-Piece Flatware Set
This is a really nice flatware set. I didn't know much about flatware prior to purchasing this set. But I did enough research beforehand to know my criteria: - Must be 18/10 stainless steel. 18% chromium is pretty standard. The "10" is important as that's the nickel percentage contained in the alloy. Nickel provides corrosion resistance and durability. - Not cost too much. For a 65-piece set, I didn't want to spend over $150. This set came in at around half the price during the Black Friday sale. Even the regular price for this set is a great deal. As far as design, I like the understated curves. It adds some class without being too ornate or too plain. Negative: - Mikasa has to do a better job packaging the flatware. They did a great job wrapping each item in its own paper cover. The issue is that the flatware set was positioned head-to-head. This caused some of the flatware pieces to scratch the other set of flatware in the same box. For background, there are 2 sets of flatware types in each box. Therefore, if the forks were placed with the spoons, the top fork in the stack facing the top spoon in the stack would damage the finish on the spoon. From what I can tell, if the set of items were placed head-to-toe (e.g. spoon head to fork end) the damage would have been reduced or eliminated. - Half the knives were not properly buffed to a complete shine. There were some etchings in more than half the knives. There has to be better quality control with the knives. Customers expect new knives to look like new knives. Overall, the entire set is really nice. Even with the negatives listed. This is a quality flatware set that has a good amount of heft and balance to them. And they're heavy! My dish washer's door compartment for flatware has never been heavier than washing all these items at once. Note: The knives are long. In the picture, I had to separate the knives into two piles on either side of the spoons and forks. They would not fit in the compartment containing the spoon and forks. If you're interested in the tray I'm using for this set, just search for "Extra Large Expandable Silverware Organizer". Potential Helpful Hint: I've run through several washing cycles since I purchasing this flatware set. I think a lot of the issues with the knives rusting that others have mention may be due to the knives being made of a different alloy (13/0?) than the rest of the flatware set. Usually, the alloy is lower in nickel content to keep a sharper edge. This is common with most flatware, not just Mikasa. To mitigate against rust, it may help to use a wash cycle that actually dries the load fully instead of the eco mode on some dish washers. What drying via a standard heat cycle does is eliminate most of the water, which may cause rust if the knives are left wet in the dish washer for a prolonged duration.

Beautiful silverware, worth every penny
Beautiful set of silverware. 2 different size forks, 2 different size spoons, and knife. It’s heavy but useable with durability. The husband loves it and commented at dinner about the upgrade in our silverware. The process excellent, I was able to get them on sale, great value. It comes with directions to not let them soak in water. Overall this Mikasa set is worth the hype. Highly recommended!

Elegant and solid flatware
Very high quality set that looks great and feels solid. We purchased this to replace another brand because we wanted a thicker and comfortable set of flatware. We physically touched the Mikasa set in a local department store and purchased through Amazon for a significantly lower price. This is our everyday flatware so the Mikasa set is functional for us and finished with a scratch resistant surface. The material is solid and durable enough to handle dishwasher cleaning, too. Keep in mind that the butter knives are slightly longer than our former cheap set. So, they don’t store perfectly in the utensil tray but fit well in the server section. Overall this Mikasa set is beautiful, functional and feels expensive. Highly recommended if you’re looking to have elegant and solid flatware at a value price.

Impressive quality and value!
After 20+ years, my wife mentioned she wanted to replace the current SS flatware set we had enjoyed using. She wanted more place settings when we entertain more of our friends and their children's family. I’m fussy about selecting flatware that feels like a high quality utensil in my hand. So, I reviewed several styles that Mikasa makes and we carefully selected this Bravo 12 setting flatware set. After running them thru our dishwasher, we immediately started using them. We’re retired and can honestly say this is the best SS set we have ever owned. They have a pleasant heft in your hand, all have a high quality buffing, blended rounded edges, plus every utensil was protected in individual shipping wrappers. We are really glad we bought this sturdy Mikasa Bravo SS flatware! Built so well, No doubt it will be the only SS set we’ll ever need! So don’t wait as long as we did to enjoy using this quality SS flatware!

Elegant and High Quality
These have a classic design and a nice weight to them. I only wish I ordered them sooner! They are easy to hold and they go through the dishwasher quite well. They are very functional and am thrilled with the purchase (and I did a lot of research prior to buying!)

Nice, sturdy flatware but knifes are not 18/10 stainless and polished surface leaves finger prints.
Nice flatware at a fair price. Only issue is the knifes are not 18/10 stainless. When put through the dishwasher rust spots develop on the knifes. The knifes are highIy magnetic which is not the case with the other pieces. I believe this is due to low nickIe content. I was able to clean them up but it took a little elbow grease and a scuff pad. Will be hand washing the knifes moving forward. No issues with the rest of set. On the plus side, the knifes are nice to use and have serrations so they should cut through cooked meats nicely negating the need to purchase separate steak knifes. Think a cross between a butter and a steak knife. I would have preferred they stick with the butter knife concept and use same material as the other pieces. We already have steak knifes which do get hand washed. These have a polished rather than brushed finish so finger prints do show up. Overall the pieces are very sturdy and pass the hard ice cream test!! Relatively satisfied but wish they would be upfront about the difference in the knife material.

Best flatware I've owned! The pieces are larger, more weight, beautiful, soft curves, polished, and feel good! One of my best purchases on Amazon.
