I wish I could give this book TEN stars!
I'm not going to tell you about character development or editing (which were both superb) What I am going to tell you that this book should be on every Military Officer's read list. They need to have conversations about the issues of Honor, Integrity, and the Issues of Command this book brings to life. In the end, the thing most civilians don't and cannot understand is the bond between Special Operators that allows them to function under times where others would have to spend the rest of their lives under mental health care. As a mid level NCO I passed a course that had a 97% attrition rate. I was Commissioned several years after that. As a company grade officer I was forced to attend what passed for a course on how to manage a military bureaucracy. The point here is that many officers are.Now sadly managers - not leaders of men (the generic term). In the end, this is a superb book and it brought out the realities of life under fire.

Exciting fast-moving story
The story, as told from Mitchell’s point of view was fascinating but unsettling. This will be a book that I will remember and want to know “what next?”

Tom Clancy died in 2013.
You can tell that Tom Clancy did not write these books. They are using his name to make money. True Clancy novels had so much more detail in the telling of the story. He died way to young.

A Scary, Gritty sequel of Ghost Recon
Although, I haven't finished Combat Ops yet, but I got a feel of what's to come. This sequel is the best in my opinion, the first person thoughts of Scott Mitchell. The story involves Mitchell and his Ghost team in Afghanistan, and the are on the hunt for a terrorist who is big in the area. The story definitely potrays, in my opinion, the chaos, confusion and incompetence of the war in Afghanistan today. I feel that it is done well. The utter chaos that Mitchell goes through is well done, the characters are excellent. It's a very intense thriller of war and it's a definate must read.

Good reading regardless
I ordered three Tom Clancy books. What I didn't know was they are sequential … I read the second of the timeline first, and the second book I should have read first. Good reading regardless. I'm now reading the book when Scott Mitchell became a Captain … in the other book he was a Captain...

Raining water messed up books.
HiI like your delivery:fast. The book was wet because of raining water. From now on you had better put books in theplastic bag first, then in the paper bag later. So raining water can't penetrate them.David.

Combat Ops (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon) with David Michaels
A favourite author of mine. I have enjoyed his books over the years and recommend this book even with the assistance of another writer.

A Tom Clancy novel but...
Tom Clancy has a lot of franchises under his name. I choose his books for his amazing style. Being interested in most products he endorses, I felt compelled to give this series a read. It's written by David Michaels. He also wrote the Splinter Cell novels. I have read the first Splinter Cell title. I hated it. The writer's style really did not appeal to me. I felt like I was being explained things in a very simplistic and childish way. I reluctantly finished it but swore to never read another Splinter Cell novel.I however gave the Ghost Recon series a chance. I was very anxious of finding out if the approach was different. To my surprise, I was enjoying the narrative to the point of finishing the book in a few days. It's nowhere near the Clancy style, but it feels like a step forward from the awful Splinter Cell.

Not worth the money
This series is not what Tom Clancy would sign off on. Very hard to read without a lot of believable action. Too much introspect with the characters. Didn't enjoy it at all.

Starkes Buch
