Good, only needed to use it once
It helped me figure out what size and offset wheels would fit and look good on my '62 Econoline pickup.

Lifted FOZ wheel/tire fitment quickley sorted with this tool!
Used this device to find the maximum tire size/shape section on an 09 Forester with a 1-3/8" Subtle Solutions suspension lift with 05 FXT premium wheels (16x6.5) (Thanks Big Brother Jazzlesaurus) to get maximum lift total without clearance issues between the caliper/strut/wheel well liner and other suspension components while moving the vehicle through total travel and turning while corner jacked till opposite tires were off ground/ unloaded.FYI we went general altimax arctics 215/70-16 (27.9"OA Height @ 33 Psi, 6.7" OAW at tread) new at ride height it is perfect through all phases of articulation, the 225/70-16's (28.3"OAH @ 32 Psi, 7" OAW at tread) were just touching and would grind/rub w/ stock wheel well configuration.....certain amounts of "a-heatin'-and-a-beatin' " would have just made it, but for practicality sake the smaller tire still gives us a great lift, clearance for the real world and stability.....and we now have an acurate speedometer!...( the stock 17" wheels w/ Conti DWS was reading 4 MPH slow vs GPS)Daughters FOZ is now up where it should be for hilltown life, deep snow, and mud season!!!! Thanks Brad!!!

does what it supposed to..............
It does work...........however, its is obscenely expensive for the quality, if it was not made out of 60 cents worth of cheap plastic and a couple of low grade bolts plus a piece of wire then I'd give it 5 stars. Great Idea, just shouldn't be that expensive.

Utterly worthless. The tool is reasonably well-conceived except for the crucial piece which models the tire --- a piece of coated multi-strand wire that isn't sufficiently flexible nor stable so as to mimic a tire section. More importantly, the injection-molded plastic tool is unbelievably poorly made. It's so imprecise as to provide only one kind of answer --- wrong. Please don't buy one --- I'll send you mine.

WHEELRITE WHEEL AND TIRE SIMULATOR
THIS TOOL WORKS...I was in the market for a new set of wheels and tires and found no assistance in the wheel and tire world as to what would fit my vehicle. Everyone guessed and claimed once the tire and wheel were mounted...I owned them. This forced me to find an alternative since my wheel and tire investment was rather expensive. I bought this tool and after making the adjustments to it regarding the wheel width, offset and diameter, I made the adjustments as to the tire size and width. I placed it on the wheel hub and like magic, it told me exactly what i need to know. WHAT I WANTED IN A WHEEL AND TIRE COMBO WORKED. I ordered the wheels and tires and after getting them...they fit my vehicle PERFECT...I LOVE THIS TOOL.

This tool needs some competition.
Just like others have said... This thing should be made of METAL. Period. AND It's waaaaaay too expensive for a few extruded plastic bits that probably cost 15 cents to make. The tire simulator is a bit of copper electrical wire. It makes sense they would use it as it's rigid, and probably won't ever break unless flexed back and forth in the same place a dozen or so times. Honestly though, the plastic though is just too flexible to guage a wheel if you have close tolerances. (within 1-2cm or so). It even twists slightly under it's own weight. There's really no good instructions with it to measure offset. Sure there's a "guage" on it, but if you have a FWD car, you actually have to measure your wheel width, on the guage, then divide by two, mark the center on the guage, and measure your offset from your own mark. That being said, unfortunately, this is the only tool of it's kind that I could find. So kudos for coming up with the idea, and the business plan to overcharge your customers. I'm sure you're really proud of your margins you're getting on this product. If I had to do it again, I would have just taken it to a wheel shop and have them measure for me.

Wheel Rite is an excellent tool for sizing up wheels
I bought wheel rite to get the perfect offset on a set of 15" wheels for a Daihatsu Rocky 4x4.This tool helped me get wheels with a 3" backspacing instead of the stock 4.25" which was too tucked in. The new wheels now sit just where I want them, right on the edge of the fender flares. This tool works with a wide variety of wheel rim sizes and measures in offset or backspacing - whichever you prefer.I did have one small problem, the wheelrite did not have a big enough center hole to sit flush against the wheel surface on the front or rear of my 4x4 - the front was due to big locking hubs and the rear was due to the axle hub that stick out a bit from the drum. However, I was still able to account for the slight difference and measure everything on the rear of the truck to get the right wheels. The only other issue I would say you should watch for is that the wheel rite uses solid core wire to simulate the tire. It didn't really clamp into the plastic very well so I had to use masking tape. There are many good web sites online for explaining standard tire sizes and dimensions, which you can reference when using this product. The wheel rite definitely helped me get the perfect set of wheels and tires for my 4x4 so that I did not have any rubbing or clearance issues.
