For the price this is a great multimeter. Has all the functions you could want unless you're using it more electronics or high voltage purposes. Appears to be quite accurate, from what I can tell. The continuity buzzer is very responsive, though could be slightly faster - equivalent to a $100 meter a few years ago. The autorange is quite fast, no complaints there. The 2000 count doesn't give you much precision, but for more casual usage, shouldn't really matter. From what I can tell, the frequency counter is only in the kHz range but the other functions are more varied (micro Amps - Amps is very nice). This meter is pretty small, which I like a lot, similar to a fluke 100 series in form, though lighter - still has a solid weight and feels pretty rugged, however. The LCD screen cover is a very soft/thin plastic that is easily deformed that is a little disappointing as I already killed a few pixels trying to get the cover back on and pressed the screen down too hard, though you could say that was my fault there. Just be careful about putting too much pressure on the screen with your thumb. My meter also came with a screw that was much tighter than should be and it was stripped trying to take it out, unfortunately. I did eventually get it out but it was very annoying to have to deal with, the other 2 screws came out just fine. For input protection you have 1 small PTC and a couple of decent sized ceramic fuses (which don't appear to be rated, just a plastic casing). As long as you don't do anything this meter is not designed to do you should be fine. If something were to happen, the body construction has 2 shield walls to prevent any blast escaping which is good design. More expensive meters used to only use 1. The board layout looked very clean, minimalistic and spaced well appart which would probably help with arcing with the lack of any voristors that I could see.Over all: Great meter, they cut a couple corners with the build but what do you expect for $20. If you were on the fence about getting one like this or a $100+ meter and don't plan on using it for anything more than around the house or industrial high voltage or even some hobbyist electronics, I would go with this one.

Nice multimeter and great customer service
It seems I'm too frequently looking for my trusty CircuitMate DM25, a Beckman Instruments multimeter that I've had for more years than I can recall. Most recently I had left it with my son-in-law when I really needed it. So I decided it was time to buy another meter so I'd have a better chance of having one handy when needed. After a little scanning of the options available at Amazon, I decided to order this Neotech model. My primary uses are AC, DC, resistance and an audible continuity function as most of my tinkering is no longer at the circuit board level where I might want capacitance measurement capability, and this meter seemed to do everything I needed and looked like a good choice even though the latter is an extra function I'd probably not use.Upon receipt, a quick check determined that the audible capability wasn't working. Since I frequently have a need to trace and identify wiring, this function is extremely handy, especially in low light and awkward locations where viewing the meter while testing is inconvenient. I contacted the supplier, and a new meter was in the mail that day. I received it a couple of days later, and the replacement works as advertised. You can't ask for better customer service than that!I really like the fact that it comes with two sets of leads... having a set with alligator clips can be really handy where there's enough room to use them as they essentially provide another set of hands. The auto-ranging capability is nice, although all it really does is minimize the number of switch positions needed since you generally know the order of magnitude of whatever you're measuring. The lighted display is a really welcome feature... I'm not sure LEDs even existed back when I purchased my other meter! Not having to break out a flashlight in tight spaces is definitely nice. Even with minimal light, the display is large enough to see at a distance. And the little fold-out stand on the back is another truly handy feature. The texture of the body and the shape of the meter also make it easy to hold. It's a little thicker than other meters, but for me the size is ideal as the minimal controls are easy to manipulate.Comparing the voltage reading capability with my Beckman, it seems to be as accurate. The only minor con is that the response time of this meter is a tad slower, especially when measuring smaller values of voltage and resistance. It often takes a few seconds to settle on a steady state reading where the Beckman was virtually instantaneous. But for me this really isn't a problem. For my purposes, this is a really nice meter for just $20 and hopefully it will hold up well. And with the responsiveness of the supplier, I'm confident they'll address any problem that may arise during the course of their 18 month warranty period.

Nice meter. Smaller then I expected but results match ...
Nice meter. Smaller then I expected but results match my fluke. Capacitor reading does not work at all. Left it attached to multiple caps to see of they needed to charge to be read but nothing. Really kind of a bummer because if it did this meter would be perfect. I have had cheaper meters in the past that read capacitance just fine. Not sure why it has the feature yet I've read multiple reviews claiming the same. Should have been figured out by now. I thought maybe they were just using it incorrectly but I can verify 100 percent that it does not read capacitors of any value . if you don't need that function it's one of the best multimeters i have seen at this price range. Test leads are pretty good quality and the extra alligator set makes the price worth it alone.
