The Teaching to End All Teachings!
This work brings together Advaita, The Enneagram, Psychology, Essence, and Quantum Physics, and how they "interact", with such remarkable clarity that is has been my undoing! (and that is a Sweet thing!) Having studied all of the above, including Quantum Mechanics, I was beginning to see where they were all "pieces" of what Nisargadatta and Ramana Maharshi pointed to with such teachings as "Return the Way You Came". The dimensions of Consciousness that Wolinsky moves you through actually walked "me" back out of what was quickly seen as the total Illusion of Me. What I had always searched for "out there" was more deeply uncovered than ever before, internally.I don't easily recommend anything, and perhaps this came at just the right intersection in my exploration, I can't know. But I will say this - it took me about 1 second to decide to go out next year and spend 12 days with the author and go deeply into this work so I can bring it forward in my own offerings. As is often spoken in Advaita circles, our "spiritual strategies" are simply thorns we use to remove thorns... and then finally the last thorn is discarded and seen as not needed. This Work is my Final Thorn... That is no small thing. As I posted in my Facebook Status this week:"The Teaching that brought all the others Together, and then Blew them, and itself, up... This was the Thorn that Took out the Final Thorn and then, killed itself. It's called "Waking From The Trance" by Stephen Wolinksy. (Lisa, Go Back the Way You Came)."A final "tether" to the Mirage of "me" snapped in the midst of one of the "meditations". And I can't know how anyone else will experience this work. But I will say this: the section on CD 3 on the Biology of Spirituality is worth the price alone!Run don't walk and click on [email protected]

A Different View of Enlightenment
Anyone on the path of enlightenment should add this course to their studies. It can be daunting at first to understand where Stephen is going with this technique. But as the listener continues on this tutorial, the stories he shares can be enjoyed while gathering information during his discourse for use in the normal meditation disciplines. There is indeed, however "something to be gained" from being spiritual. It can change an individual's entire reality, affecting healing and lending great serenity. What Mr. Wolinsky is trying to help accomplish here, is to remove barriers and fears associated with previous religious teachings that may be hindering the learner's progress. To go deeper than just one or two causes or directions, but to have the ability to reach multiple levels of awareness. This will (according to Quantum Psychology) allow us to consciously evolve. There's no telling what abilities we can gain if we *can* reach that level.

Not very good.
I don't know how many times I can listen to this guy ask "If you don't use your thoughts, memories, emotions, associations, or perceptions, how do you experience X". I don't know what this question is supposed to do for you or why he thinks that asking it over and over for different experiences does anything for anyone.

What a CD set to have to make you really think when driving!
This CD set really makes my car rides so much more interesting. As a Psychologist myself it has made me think a lot about how to interact with some clients, Some may be ready for this, others I'm not so sure.

Challenging and rewarding
I have listened to this audio book many times. It seems I find something new in each listening. The subject matter is not simple, but with repeated listening and repeated use of the meditation practices, I have come to much more coherent understanding. I have also read the book "I am That" by Nissargedatta, his main source for his teachings. This audio is a good supplement to that book. I cannot say that I have achieved getting beyond the "I Am", but I feel I can see there is a path there.Repeated listening and actual practice of the various meditations can bring understanding. It is probably best taken in small digestible bites, frequently and repeatedly.

Fantastic
Stephen Wolinsky is not a 'Feel Good' Guru and HALLELUJAH for that!!! And his teaching (and Nisargadatta through the vehicle of Stephan) is not for everyone. He will not coddle your belief's - he will challenge them. I have quite a few courses from Sounds True, and I have gained something from all of them, but to this one I return again and again - the "False Self/False Core" chapter alone is worth the price of admission. He is also appealing to the intellect, and the western mind. Again he may not be for everyone- if you need some coddling (and there is nothing wrong with that - we all need it from time to time) you should look further - but if you're really wanting to wake up from the dream that you think is your life - I would highly recommend this as well as his series of Nisargadatta DVDs.

Although there are some useful bits in here
Mixture of teachings and theories from SW, based on psychology and also the Advaita teachings of Nisargadatta. Although there are some useful bits in here, which mostly stem from Nisargadatta's direct teachings, I found the bulk of the work to be heavy, laden with jargon and concepts, and largely unusable. This isn't such a surprise (coming from SW). I felt by the end that I was actually led deeper into a trance, rather than being woken from the trance. Only the most dedicated will likely get through this completely.
