Loving this device
To start, I have had this screen installed in my vehicle for about 2 weeks now and I am loving it. That being said it is not without its hiccups. The physical touch buttons on the side works when it wants, so don't depend on those too much. On the plus side all of those same buttons are located in the notification bar at the top of the screen so navigation is still available. Screen response is good, it doesn't move exactly when you swipe or press an app. but you cant complain too much there as its just milliseconds after touch that it responds. The user interface for the home screen is simplistic and boring (what you see in the pictures is what you get). Luckily this is an android device and skins or launchers can be downloaded to suit your needs. Some are nicer than others so test them out for yourselves (the paid ones are a little nicer). delving deeper into the interface the app drawer is just as you would expect any android app drawer to be. Finding everything that this device can do takes some searching and the help guide (i did not find easy to use).Fitment for this device would have been very straight forward, except for the fact that the OEM head unit is split into two pieces. I drive a Kia Forte and could not reuse the original dash parts and the Metra kit in my opinion did not help with the situation as it sunken in compared to the roundish shape of the OEM. With the sunken shape of the Metra kit I had to perform some slight modifications on the kits opening. This kit was definitely designed with the standard 7" display (double din) standard in mind. The sound coming out of the head is leaps and bounds better that what the OEM unit was putting out.Steering wheel controls I have yet to get working, fortunately with the new launcher the controls are easy to reach. Using the original display controls is not very good as the buttons are small and you have to take your eyes off the road for far too long. The included bluetooth mic has not been installed, but the imbedded mic on the screen works well for most calls, I have only had 1 call where it was hard to be heard. On the calling front I have not had any issues with the 4G on TMobile and have had excellent connection everywhere I have gone so far. In the writeup for this device it says that the unit uses a microsim, this was not the case as I had to find a sim adapter to make the sim a mini. The sim is attached by a tether (personally I think it should just be installed in the chassis)One thing I did notice but have not fiddled with yet is that the body of the unit has a slot for a microsd card on the chassis just under the IDE cable that connects to the monitor (further updates to follow).

Great unit but missing some parts and instructions are very lacking.
I started shopping for a new head unit as I was tired of the laggy Pioneer AVH-4200NEX that I currently had in my car. I was limited on space for my screen size which is why I chose this 8 in model vice the 10.1 inch. After receiving the unit and opening the box I was initially very impressed with the build quality and packaging. The instructions were simple enough but seemed to cover several models. There was nothing discussed about how to install the SIM data card and to this day I still have not figured out to put it in. Also in the instructions is says that it comes with some stand offs for the clips behind the screen to make the screen protrude slightly farther out (9mm farther) but my box did not contain any, and I need them. As of now my screen does not fully attach to the main unit. I am going to have to fabricate something to make it work. The instructions also say that the screen angle is adjustable via some placement screws on the side of the unit (only accessible when not installed in the dash) but mine had no adjustability. So as of now I have a completely vertical, almost latched screen that is difficult to operate when at that angle and could fall out if I hit a big enough pot hole.As for the operation of the unit itself, I am still learning all the quirks of the system and there are definitely things that I would change (having separate volume controls for audio, and mobile assistants comes to mind) but overall I am very happy with the capabilities of this unit and for the very responsive and vibrant screen. The screen is a gloss finish so sun reflection could be a major problem for visibility but I am looking for a matte screen protector to hopefully correct this problem. If you are familiar with operating Android tablets, you should have no problems using this. Overall I would definitely recommend but would like to see some more screen adjustability or at least include the stand-offs that it says it come with.

Love it but with 2 Questions/Issues
Solid headunit, but I have two issues:1. The physical buttons along the left side of the unit do not stay on no matter what settings I change. It makes it difficult knowing where to push during a night drive.2. I'm unable to get any bluetooth steering wheel units to connect to the device and the USB volume wheels sold on Amazon do not work either. How can I get either to work with this device? This will help make issue #1 not be that big of a deal. Thanks, Joying support.
