I'm impressed. Its the updated MD6027 version that I received. I've had a couple sub $100 detectors and other than the 130ft rating I wasn't expecting much better performance... but wow. Its detecting iron in all metal mode 2 to 4 times further than the cheaper detectors. Its heavy but that's necessary to withstand water pressure at 130feet underwater. Its mostly aluminum and very sturdy. Others complain about always attached headphones but they fail to understand what it takes to work at a 4.90 atmosphere depth. Especially at this price point. The control software, tones, rotary controls, multi-color indicator and sounds all seem well engineered. It seems to have and extra long shaft that will help get deeper in the water without having to dive. I find the tones much less irritating than other detectors I have used. People complain it has no gold mode. But that is just a gimmick used on cheap detectors. Gold and Iron detect the same. I cant wait to get more experience learning the operation of this detector looking for treasure on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Purchased in hopes in finding a lost diamond/gold wedding ring that fell off my finger into lake water about 5 feet deep. Arrived on time. Easy to assemble. Easy to handle. Headphones worked well and stayed on my ears/head even when I went under the water. Be sure to have a 9 volt battery, as one is not included.Happy to say, after about three hours of searching in the murky lake water, we found my ring!!! Well worth the purchase of the metal detector.

If your a beach person and want to get a detector that is fully submersible but dont want to pay alot this is for you. Headphones are hardwired in and it only has one tone . I have had it to 15 feet deep in saltwater several times worked great. I have found 4 rings (none valuable) yet. All kines of other stuff.Even lead sinkers . It’s a good buy to get you started.Can’t beat the price.

I’ve had this detector out in 3 to 4 feet of water 3 times now, it has worked perfectly each time. Fully submerged the detector as well as the headphones, no issues so far.I’m a beginner at this but finding some cool items already.Simple to use even for a beginner like me.

Well I had high hopes for this. I know it's not the most highest quality but I would expect that the engineers could realize how to have the whole placements. I had to drill two separate holes in the bar that mounted into the other bar right in front of the metal detector cylinder. Because the magnetometer part was turned at a 90° angle because the holes were in the wrong spot. This thing better be waterproof up to 100 ft at a minimum.

It's a pretty basic detector and the one we got was a bit glitchy. No matter how we set it, the slightest wave would sound it off. Tested it for depth and it did not fair well after 4 inches of sand which was disappointing. This was a gift for a kid but I should have put in a few more dollars and get a better one.

Absolute piece of garbage. My hopes were not high for $200 price point, but it just made constant beeping noises no matter where the setting were.

Yo tuve este detector de segunda mano y la verdad me duró el tiempo que lo tuve ,llegue a sacar más de 10 de anillos de oro en 3 meses seguidos y lo vendí y me volví a comprar otro sin duda lo recomiendo.
