The Ultimate Guide to Domino Toppling

I bought this for my son (8) who has recently gotten into domino toppling after watching Domino Masters on TV. This book has a lot of great information and covers everything from setting up a single domino to setting up complex visual effects and towers. The instructions are very easy to follow and there are small descriptions of each skill that are helpful for determining if it is one you want to try or not. Great for my 8 year old and for me!!

My 7 year old loves this book. It was expensive for a guidebook. I looked at this book several times, and flinched at the idea of spending twice the amount I had in mind.Fast forward 6 months. My son breaks his arm and is in agony for 24 hours before having his arm properly set. What do you do when your kid is hurting and you can't do anything? You promise them the world. I was desperate to make him feel better.What does my kid want? Not a bike or a video game. Not a phone or anything fancy. No, he wanted 2000 dominos. I bought him the dominos. I obviously was getting a bargain considering what he could have requested. So, I bought him the book too.The dominos were junk, but the book is amazing. My casted son built the huge domino tower in photo included all by himself with ONE HAND thanks to this book.

At first purchase, I thought the book was expensive. Now we have it, and it's large, colorful, and, educational, and durable. The easy to follow instructions and activities that build upon other (literally and figuratively) are the best STEAM activity a child could have. I have to admit, I'm having a bit of fun. We put Grandpa to work too...lol. Great thought-provoking fun that builds teamwork, patience, consistency, perseverance, and awesome motor skills. Ultimately, totally worth the price. Loving the physics component as well!!! Thank you for such a thoughtful product!

I'm starting a domino toppling club for elementary students and this book will be very helpful. It provides step-by-step photo directions of many, many tricks. I only wish some of the photos were a bit clearer with better contrasting dominoes...it can be a bit tricky to figure out the exact arrangement. A spiral binding would have been helpful also because the book won't lie flat when open; I must lay something heavy across the pages to keep it open as I refer to directions. But other than those two issues, the book is by far the best one I've found for domino toppling.
