3M 4905/CLR0755 Scotch 4905 VHB Tape: 3/4" x 15 ft., Clear

Granted, I don't know much about mounting tape. I thought by getting something called VHB, or very high bonding, from reading other reviews, that it would be very strong. I wanted something thin and very strong to use on wood BUT this is very thin and stretchy, very hard to keep straight without it twisting and catching on itself, and it's so thin and stretchy I can't imagine it holding anything up that weighs very much. I did get it to attach a window vertical to a wall. I would return but I used it and feel it's my fault for not knowing what it was.

I have no complaints about the tape's stickyness. It does the job. However, it takes forever to peel back the protection layer. I tried my fingernails, razors, double back tape. The tape works too good - it sticks to its own protection layer. 3M needs to design a better way. It took me 3x as long to do the jobs because I spent 75% of the time trying to get the dang protective layer off . . .

This stuff.... This stuff is super strong! It will hold anything you want it to. I've used this on multiple projects like mounting switches on my motorcycle for my electricaly warming clothing for winter, mounting a car phone mount directly to my truck dash instead of the suction cup on the window, as well as mounting led lights on vehicle interiors. It is water proof once it is used as far as i can tell, it survived rain on my motorcycle without a problem. The clear aspect of the tape makes it great to use because you can't see it easily which gives things a cleaner look. Highly recommended for small projects.

I only use this for special situations. It's primary reason for being on my shelf was to install light strips outside on metal beams. We are well into the second winter of this being installed and everything has held fantastically. Rock steady and strong. I also used it to fabricate a new rear window for our snow throwing tractor which lost the rear plastic to a Bear's curiosity. New doors and windows were no longer available for the tractor so I cut to size and laid the tape onto one side, wrapped the soft plastic around the frame, and pressed it to the tape again. It's been about a month now and is holding up great. couldn't have purchased a better window even if it -was-n available.

This stuff is wonderfully strong, and easy to use. Used it to stick solar panels to a van roof, and I get the impression I could lift the van up with it!

This stuff holds like crazy and cures with considerable elasticity, so if you need that for an application this stuff is your answer. I noted that it is not easy to remove - which is good.

I jus wish it was cheaper, the reason for one star on the easy to remove is because it’s not. Once you’ve applied pressure it’s sticking and not letting go.

The hold of this tape is beyond any product I have used before. Dare I say it challenges duct tape for my favorite tape...
