One of the most fun things to ride ever!
So I purchased this for something new to do. I'm 65 and not particularly skillful in balance but I found it easy to learn how to ride. I had no real prior experience on similar things like snowboarding or skateboarding or surfing or wake boarding. It took a while, perhaps upwards of an hour of practice over several sessions to feel like I could reliably go forwards and backwards and turn. Braking was most difficult to learn. Then after about two or three hours total on the board doing figure 8s, circling and going forwards and backward I felt confident on the board. All of that practice was on the smooth concrete of my garage floor. Then I was ready for the dirt road that leads to the house. I felt like I was starting over, going on an uneven surface was much harder and the going was slow, but then after about an hour of practice over 2 or 3 sessions I got confidence there too, and did 4 or 5 miles on the dirt and gravel and got more confident. Then went to a skate park early in the morning so I could practice by myself and that also improved my confidence and I learned how to go up and down gentle slopes. Then it was time to tackle the yard, it's very uneven and has a gentle slope to it. Surprisingly, once I just let myself go a bit faster it was easy to do.At the time I am writing this I have perhaps a total of 10-15 hours total on the board. Just wanted you to know where I am coming from for the following review. This board is great. I have no experience with a smaller one that has solid or smaller tires but the ones on this one are very good over dirt and imperfections on concrete. Once I got to the point of being able to stand naturally on the board and trust it I found I could simple zip over expansion joints in concrete, over hoses in the yard and actually ride on gravel. Just like with a bike, going a bit faster is better than going a bit slower when the riding gets difficult.I've been riding with it just as it came right out of the box. The air pressures seems high in the tires but have not yet tried to ride with a reduced pressure, the traction I get both on concrete and dirt seems fine right now.As for the board itself I've noticed the following. With the app I have tried changing the modes but can't say I have noticed much difference between the learning mode and the advanced mode. The Bluetooth seems fine but I would have like the max volume to be higher, but then I do have a bit of hearing loss so that might be the reason.I did a bit of testing on the battery. It does seem to fully recharge from near depletion in about an hour, certainly in less than an hour and a half. I haven't tried to see if I can go 12 miles on a charge yet but I do know that I can go about 40 minutes all through my yard before it starts beeping at me that the battery is near depletion. I do want to complain that the beeping is really not very loud and I only noticed that because I happened to look at the battery charge lights first to note that I was nearly out of charge and then noticed the beeping. 40 minutes is not very long but I was going constantly and the yard is very rough so I expected less than an hour.I also haven't tested the claim it can go up a 30 degree slope but I have been up and down fairly steep asphalt roads and it made it no problem. I did note that the max speed is reduced going up and that was expected.I haven't gone the full 12 mph claimed, but have made it to 9 mph. That's because that's the fastest I currently feel safe going. The other thing I didn't try was the so called “startup balancing mode” so can't say anything about that.I have ridden a little bit in the dark and I would say that the built in LEDs don't really provide enough light for safe riding. They certainly let other people know where you are and whether you are braking or not, but they aren't like headlights, so if night riding is your thing, bring a flashlightMy overall impression I that it is well built, that the balance algorithms work well and that it is relatively easy to learn to ride and that it will work over a wide range of surfaces. And that it is really, really fun. So, I can recommend buying one.One last word. I have yet to fall on this, but I have had to step off several times when riding really uneven ground. That doesn't keep me from wearing protective clothing which for me is a helmet and wrist guards, and when I get to where I ready to go on even more difficult terrain or go faster on the pavement I will start wearing the body armor I use in mountain biking, maybe even upgrade to that full face helmet. Be safe.

electrical brake down twice and finally mailed it to swagtron ...
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. electrical brake down twice and finally mailed it to swagtron in Indiana with my shipping expense of over $70 and they wont cover the shipping. If I knew I would buy other brand. 2 months downtime and going. Just got it back.1st some screws loose and rattling inside any time I move. (how do you even send it back to customer this way as fixed)2nd now it vibrates when I stop that's new after I got it back.3rd also new after I got it back (it wont balance it self upright ever).4th battery wont charge 5 bars just 4 no matter how long I keep it on charge, then when I start riding it shows 1 bar just in 5-10 minute, so it cost me over $70 to have them fix one thing and brake several other thinks in it.

DEAD after 1hr. NO SUPPORT!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I called a dozen times at all hours and couldn’t get through to the company at all. Waited on hold for an hour each time. What a waste. But, for the 1 hour it worked, it was fun. The app works well. So after the first hour, one side/one wheel started working intermittently, getting worse and worse. Then it just stopped completely and shut off. After plugging it in to charge, it just started twitching like a pulse or heart beat. It’s 100% dead after 1 hr of use, so I sent it back to amazon as Broken/defective. I ordered a replacement, so we’ll see how that one goes. If it too breaks, I’m done trying.Amazon 5 stars. Swagtron NO stars.

DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you do get the warranty cause it will not last a year.
First off thank you amazon for exceptional customer service. Bought First 2 came in messed up. Parts rattling in one, the other had a mind of its own. Returned and got 2 more think i just got a defect. Both lasted less than a month, my daughter quit working all together, it threw her off on a full charge. My son's will tilt on its own when riding and has a wear sound coming from the gears and it vibrates a lot when he rides it. It spun on him a few time.

Great concept, horrible reliability
I purchased the SWAGTRON T6 and the design is great, but reliability is horrible. It only worked for about 6 weeks before the problems started. First it would only spin wildly in circles. After being unsuccessful recalibrating, per the instructions, I called tech support only for them to tell me to send it back. Then after waiting a couple more days for a return authorization I sent it back for repair. When it was returned it worked for another 6-8 weeks and then started having control problems again. You find out about the control problems when you are riding and the controls quit responding, you to crash, which also brakes the aluminum fenders. When trying to recalibrate per the instructions the battery quit holding a charge.I love the off road concept of the T6 but would not buy it again. I wish I could get my money back.

No ownership taken by Amazon
First time i have experienced a very bad service from Amazon. First i received a product and it failed in 10 minutes. For a product worth 50K amazon took no responsibility and left the entire onus on me to speak to the manufacturer. Its been 3 days since i received the product and i am following up continuously with the manufacturer for warranty service with no involvement of Amazon.Regarding the product, i do not know whether it is worth 50K which gets repaired in 10 minutes. Hoping that i will get service from Swagtron.

The app is handy too and speakers sound good. Highly recommend this board for both adults and ...
FINALLY!!! A hoverboard that actually excels in every way. This is my 3rd hoverboard and after 2 disappointments (airwalk and swagtron t580), I was about to give up. This hoverboard is so worth it. It’s very stable compared to other models, holds a charge very well, can handle bumps, grass, gravel, etc. Even my 6 year old nephew could hop right on it and ride for his very first time - didn’t even fall once thanks to the stability of this board. It’s can go very fast - but doesn’t become less stable with speed. The app is handy too and speakers sound good.Highly recommend this board for both adults and children - wish I had of started with it!

No support for Canadians by swagtron. But really solid product
Great board. Very strong and heavy great build quality. Very fast on advanced mode. Easy to learn in beginner mode. Speakers are very low quality and sound tinny but I didn’t buy it for the speakers they are more of a bonus. The air filled tires are great I went on their website too look for replacements ..... they don’t ship to Canada so if you ever have tire issues expect to have to spend 600$ for a whole new board. I don’t think any hover board is really off road as maintaining balance over the smallest twigs and rocks is very difficult as the power is very jerky. But for going over gravel and smooth dirt it’s just fine. I’ve had mine now for a few months and really do love it. Just wish swagtron would ship parts to Canada and not leave us helpless to do minor fixes. First one I got the charger didn’t work. Looked up getting a new charger ..... no support thankfully amazon did an exchange very easily. Just is difficult as the box is massive to take back and forth to the post office

I'm a quick learn on most things but this hoverboard is not and entry level board. the app that controls the settings keeps reading T3 and not the T6 and setting it everyride is annoying. I'm 230 lbs. and live in hilly terrain so I get about half the distance this board claims. But this board has so much power and agility, very quiet, extremely user friendly. Be careful to keep this board in learning mode. unless you a boss and have hover skills. Blue ray music sounds good enough too.
