OG Joy 🏆
Wanna cover one ⭐️ review chatter up front with solutions to the issues. If you’re buying this you most likely lived through the era of VHS, CD’s and DVD’s. You still own some or maybe picked up a favorite movie or two at a garage sale, etc. And wanna revisit the vintage tech. Whatever the reason, I’m here with you for a similar reason. If so, and short on memory of what that experience was like. Have forgotten how that viewing time vibed. Consider, we are so use to digital technicolor we forget back in the day things were 720 pixel television. Then 1080. Then HD. Then UHD. To 4K. And so on.***special message break ***If you do not keep rechargeable AAA batteries or any on hand you will wanna order some. None are included.*** back to the review ***If you’re as elder as me, turning 60 this year with the heart of a child for gadgets, might have grown up with a black and white tv. Until 2015 owned a 12 in B&W for the sheer enjoyment of the contrast. Only donated it due to relocation and minimizing. This all said, to the people complaining about the visual or sound … tips, on regular television stations, like I’ve got a Fire TV with antenna so I get a lot of free channels plus have digital apps.If this picture pleases you try watching an OG movie or television show like MASH. You’ll see what the quality is.Then, switch to the DVD on the player. It’ll be about the same. Equipment was different filming throughout history. My advice, suck it up or stick to digital tv. It’s not the tv or the dvd player. It’s many OG reasons for the picture to look as it does. Perfectly normal for that movie. As for sound, some people complained. Tip, turn the volume all the way up with the tv remote. Then, use the DVD remote to adjust the sound. Mine is very loud. A guess is the one star complaint may not have adjusted their tv remote for sound first. For those who gave a low review due to the device crapping put my question to you, did you register it for the warranty?A one year warranty is offered for the unit and accessories. If this isn’t enough, Ascurion offers a two year warranty at 5.99. Considering the discount for the device as a Prime member offered to begin with the warranty seemed a great idea and cost less if applying the saved few dollars.Ascurion will ask to contact them first. Then they’ll either give a gift card for replacement or you’ll get a repair. I’m guessing it is smarter to send a gift card. Buy a new one.Because the first DVD player from a different company didn’t fair well decided the warranty for this gadget, on top of the one I did not know was included, is a win. I’m able to watch my vintage DVD’s and maybe pick some up at garage sales or a second hand shop for a dollar. Not sure if you do this, but here’s an idea for free movies … buy digital videos using Amazon digital dollars they give for accepting later deliveries than two day shipping. You can check in your account how much is there. All you have to do is push buy or rent and it’ll auto deduct from the amount. Me, wait for sales and buy stuff that’s either owned by an app company I can’t watch for free or it’s rare and only available to watch if I own it.Otherwise I do not buy digital movies. Free is always nice. So, free digital. And rewatch DVD’s plus so many free channels on Fire TV and apps. The concept you’ll own nothing and be happy creeps me out a little. Is a big why for owning a DVD player again.Sharing this for ideas since you’re shopping the OG section of Amazon 😁Another place with free movies in YouTube. If you click on the movie you can save it to a YouTube folder. I do this with lots of OG Christmas shows from when I was small. And you can save a free movie with ads that’s otherwise a rental. Just click the movie and let it start playing if you wanna add it to a folder. This device is compact and fits under the TV so it can be easy to control with the remote. The weight is super light. For functionality, notice the remote is not fast. It’s OG. I had to push and wait a second or push again to get it to act. As for durability, we shall see.Upon set up and trial it works very well. I went through all the settings. Like changed to auto and such. Turned the tv all the way up then fiddled with the DVD volume and it’s as loud as the tv no problem. If the tv is set low the device will only be able to go max to the highest tv volume set. Which for more people is 25 to 35.The first thing you’ll see when plugging it in is to register the device. There’s also a flyer included with similar directions. The guide is easy to read. Lots of attention was put into making it easy to understand. On a side note, with tariffs being in the mix thought the warranty a good idea, too, just in case something happens. Who knows how much little luxuries like this will cost until all that’s worked out.I’m happy with the purchase. Recommend, based on what I have experienced, this DVD player. It comes with several connection options, too. FireTV can handle both types of inputs so I’m set either way I choice. I’m OG so the three prong yellow red white connection makes me all giddy imma have a truly 80’s experience 😁Happy DVDing. Hope this review solves issues and promotes fun for family and friends.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

Great Little DVD Player – Simple, Affordable, and Works Well
I bought this DVD player for my daughter to watch our old children's DVDs, and it's been a great purchase. It's small, lightweight, and easy to set up with any TV. The controls are straightforward and simple to use, which is perfect for a kid-friendly setup. For the price, it’s a reliable and affordable piece of equipment that does exactly what we need. I’m very satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a no-fuss DVD player.

Easy to set up - so far so good.
SO far so good. I had to order a replacement because the first did not work properly. The DVD would play and then skip and skip and pause and stop. I feared I was experiencing the same thing with the replacement, and while it did sputter once when I fired up the first DVD, I was able to watch a 3 hour DVD without issue, including pausing, backing up, stopping . . . and then RESUMING at the exact place two days later. Easy to hook up with a USB Plug for power into the wall - with power block included - and HDMI cable to TV - HDMI also included. Let's see what happens when I watch a movie again next week.

Best value, low noise, low power consumption, compact and lightweight.
Very compact size, item works well, upscale older DVDs to fit widescreen 4K television. Weighs very little. Low power consumption, runs off 5V USB-C cable 2000mA power adapter (so could work in car or using a power brick).Plays older DVDs even with scratches well. The LED front light can be a little bright in a dark room and is illuminated red when the device is off, putting something in front of the light seems to do the trick. (or unplug the power supply). The USB input plays 720p and lower resolution movies. Not .mp4 or .mkv files. Better with .avi files. Use a 32GB USB flash drive that is USB2.0 for best results. For the price, it is a great deal.

Does not play movies off USB
Reads DVDs well enough. Haven't been successful running any video off USB. Tried pm4 and mkv files. Nada. Easy to use and setup. Nice small size.

Update: Sent replacement checking it out now.
Update: I was reached out to by the company and was sent a replacement. I will update this review again after trying it out for a while. Appreciate the proactive nature of the company I'm trying to respond to my earlier experience! This dvd player I've had for a couple of years and only used it like 10 times. Just tried to play some DVDs and it frequently blacks out the screen during play. Like the image processor is losing power sending the signal. Could not get it working right since.
