While this is a great value, this heating element itself (where the bulb screws in as well as the neck) combined with the 75watt ceramic heat emitter bulb gets extremely hot. I would recommend anyone using this for a reptile, use with caution, and a thermostat. My ball python's enclosure seems to retain the heat from the CHE, so that's good. The neck is very sturdy. I hope it lasts a while.

It works great and no problems. It can clip on to the edge of the tank and doesn't fall off ever. But it is a little hard to move the silver part but its still not hard, just a little bit. You have to also buy the right light bulbs for this they are E27 Light bulbs. Our turtle likes it a lot and spends a lot of time basking under it.

I've purchased two of these over the last year. They are terrible. I used it for a desert gecko terrarium with a 75w heat bulb. They both broke within six months; as in, the inside prongs that connect to the bulb just disconnect. Terrible quality. I thought the first time it was just a fluke, but the exact same thing happened twice. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

I like these lights, BUT two of my previous purchases quit working and I had to discard them. I am using them in a large reptile tank for heat lamps. I like them because you can adjust the intensity of the light with the dial. However it seems they will NOT handle the heat produced by the black heat bulbs. Those are the two that burned out. They do handle the smaller white daylight bulbs well. I had to switch the two night lights over to fixtures with ceramic bases.

very happy with the quality and price of this light. I was able to get a 6 pack of bulbs for relatively cheap as well, just make sure they will fit before purchase (I did, but I'm not sure if having some NOT fit would be that common). The clamp is VERY tight and the bendy neck has a great deal of movement. Only thing I don't like is it doesn't fit on my tank exactly how I want it, but thats because of the tank and lid I have. Definitely worth the purchase.

I really loved this product untill not even quite 4 months and it just about caught on fire this morning. Thankfully I got to it in time before it could have caused some.serioud damage or even kill my baby turtles. It's a shame, dont think I'll be buying this again unless the company can possibly male this right :(

Purchased on July 27, 2020 and dead as a doornail today, Sept. 14, 2020. Needless to say not a product I will buy again.

Poor quality. The base is not secure and is loose. Will now stay in position you want unless is leans on something. Got ignored by the seller.

bought the product and at arrival the quality seems to be very cheap. I tried it anyways and used it at our Aquarium. the product started to have electrical smell coming from it and the head part for the lamp fall off due to cable burned.hazard product. I would give it 0 starts if I could

Bought this a few months ago. The clamp is terrible quality, and just burst apart.Should have listened to these other reviews, lol.
