AqtivAqua Spandex Swim Cap with Protective Layer + Tube Carry Case // Swimming Caps for Adult Men Women

I got this to help keep my ipod earbuds in while swimming laps and indeed, it makes all the difference in the world. I don't know how I got along for a year fighting to keep them in till I came to my senses and put a cap on. This one fits perfectly over your ears and is snug and even warm for the cool days when the breezes chill your bodyparts that come out of the water ie. your head.Update: there are strange spots and exterior wrinkles developing, however I don't know if this is normal but I took 1 star back.

I've only used this for a couple of weeks now (every day swimming laps) and I'm particularly happy by a) the material b) the comfortable fit c) the sun protection and d) how easy it is to put on and take off, doesn't catch your hair like the very tight rubber products do. I primarily bought this for sun protection as I am follicle-ly impaired (balding) and I wasn't comfortable swimming in Florida sun with just sun block protection. Thanks to another Amazon buyer's review who bought for the same reason, I decided to pay a bit more for this one (not that expensive but you can find products with lower prices.) So far I am very glad I did. While I think there are caps that will protect ears and back of head hair better, this one is so comfortable I forget I have it on. As for the review which stated it gives off a smell, I have not had that experience at all thus far, but I do follow their directions and wash with cold water after every use. The "selling point" of the storage tube is kind of silly, I'd much rather put it in my swim trunks pocket until wash it when I get home. But maybe you can find a use for it. Overall, very pleased and if for some reason things change i.e. it doesn't hold up or last I will update this review. For now it's doing the trick protecting my scalp from the brutal sun and my dermatologist will be very pleased.

First thing you should know it is that this cap leaks. So if you want it to keep your hair chlorine free, this wont work. To me that is not the real issue, the real issue is the smell. I know it sounds lame but this cap really stinks. After using it during 3 swimming sessions of one hour each and washing it after each use, it still stinks. The smell is so bad that it gives me a headache. So today after my session I just trash it. By the way, the quality is so bad that even the lettering on the side was almost all gone after 3 uses. Stay away from this one.

THe material of this swimcap is nice because it does not 'grab on' to the hair like some caps do. so it is easy on and off, very nice. I have removed one star because i find i have to wash the cap weekly or biweekly, otherwise it begins to smell. but that's a small complaint - all in all i like it. Oh, one more thing, it will not keep your hair completely dry, but none of them do in my experience.

This cap is very big - it's way too loose on me to be very effective. (And I'm an adult, so that fact that it says "Adult Men Women Youth Child" is crazy - there's no way this is for kids.)

I have a difficulty time keeping a swim cap on either in the pool or ocean. (?I have a big head?) This one has an elastic band that helps it stay on. It helps keep you warm. If you are a super competitive swimmer, it might not be as streamlined as some more form fitting caps. Those never stay on me. I use this in the pool. If they had a bright yellow or green color, I would wear them in ocean water. The silver doesn't stand out in the ocean as those other colors. But it works great in the pool

Used this snorkeling and it did a good job of keeping my hair tucked and prevented having strands get into my mask/face. Was a little tight over the ears which did bother me when I used it for an extended period. Washed several times by hand and also in the washing machine- no problems with it at all. My husband (who doesn't have to worry about hair in his face, lol) used it several times as well. He seemed to experience a little more comfortable fit than I and really liked it to use in conjunction with sunscreen for the protection to his head.

This cap is the most wonderful fabric!!! So soft and fits so well. Not one thing uncomfortable about it. It comes in a tube that can very well be reused. I can't say enough good things about this cap.

Perfect. I was required to wear a swimming cap for open water swimming but didn't want the uncomfortably tight, hair-tearing unpleasantness of a rubbery one. This ticks all of the boxes that are the complete opposite of what I was dreading. Feels more like a snug beanie, doesn't remove hair from your neck or give a headache due to tightness. It's waterproof too as long as common sense is applied bearing in mind that your head isn't a perfect sphere and a little bit of water might sneak in past your ears. So from someone who hates swimming caps, it's a great, comfortable swimming cap and I'd highly recommend.

I bought this cap to keep my keratin-treated hair from coming into contact with chlorinated water in the pool.Unfortunately, my hair was soaked through when I removed the cap. I didn’t swim underwater, just on the surface, but even the top of my head was wet. The one good thing about this product was that it didn’t snag my hair but I won’t be using it again.

Comfortable and no snagging when I put this on. I have long hair, fine but lots of it and I am able to get it into the cap. It doesn't keep my hair bone dry but I don't think any do. What it does is keep my hair mainly dry so that I am not getting it soaked in salt water which is damaging. I swam on holiday in the sea for an hour most days and rinsed it out each day it was ideal and I think it will last. Seems to be well made.

Didn’t pull my hair getting the cap on, protects head form the cold winds for outdoor swimming although hair does get wet, but I don’t mind that as the main purpose was to keep my head from chilling.

Bought this for my daughter, as the silicon type pulled at her hair and were too tight or too loose. This one fits well, looks great, and is comfortable. It won't keep hair dry, but keeps it out of the way and doesn't press against the ears or fold them forward.Excellent product.
