This made an impact in my life
I enjoyed this book and experienced immediate results in the way I thought about other people's behavior, and my own reactions to certain situations. It helped me understand why people do what they do, and why I do what I do. I am on a quest to improve the way I think, feel and speak about others and myself. I realize now that it all matters- the good and the bad. While these concepts will likely be esoteric for some people, I felt ready for the lessons. I am not religious, and occasionally the references to God felt uncomfortable, but it's nothing a secure person can't handle. I consider myself agnostic with buddhist tendencies. Here's an example of how this book impacted me: I had an encounter the other day with a guy who threw what can only be described as an adult tantrum. This person did not know me. The situation happened while out on a trail walking in the woods in the snow with two of my friends. The angry guy was upset that we were ruining the trails by leaving behind footprints (small holes). He was aggressive, and decided to physically block the trail so we couldn't pass. At first I thought he was joking, but he continued with the verbal abuse. My default setting is to fight. To be aggressive and verbally abusive. In this instance, I was able to neutralize the hostility and maintain control of my temper. I stayed calm, apologized, and explained we had no intention of ruining the trail. He calmed down almost immediately, perhaps realizing how irrational his outburst was, and we went our separate ways.Had I not been reading this book, my reaction undoubtedly would have been confrontational and it may have resulted in a physical altercation. Historically, I've been quick to judge others and react with rage, especially when I feel victimized. It felt incredible to take ownership of my emotions and maintain control in a situation that could have easily spiraled into something ugly.If you're ready for the lessons, and you apply what you learn, this book will change your life.

Improved features
I was surprised to see that the narration speed can be speeded up to 3.2. I always speed up the narration speed, this upgrade lets me get through a book faster and I have better comprehension when I crank things up. Ihad a problem with finding the downloaded PDF. Support was helpful, but I had some difficulty with contacting support. I would like to see Amazon provide a direct link to Audible support. Support was easy to contact once I figured out how to navigate there. My support experience would have been smoother had I not been so frustrated when the chat started. Great book by the way.
