The Little Book of Big Word Puzzles: Over 400 Synonym Scrambles, Crossword Conundrums, Word Searches & Other Brain-Tickling Word Games

I absolutely love this book! I am a big fan of David Hoyt's Word Winders as well as his Smartphone app Just Two Words. So I was excited to see another book from him. I am a word puzzle lover but I really like variety. I was having a hard time finding books that weren't mainly crosswords and word search. Although I enjoy those I don't want a book with just those. This book is a wonderful mix of word games with nice twists on the regular crosswords and word searches. It is in color, which is nice and in some cases color is incorporated into the puzzle. I've been enjoying it so much that I'm going to buy another as a gift for another word puzzle lover I know. I've waited a long time for a book like this to come along. I hope there will be more in the future!

I got this for my mom, who said that she'd done all the ones the drugstore had to offer(that's where she gets most of hers from) and she loves word search puzzles, but was wanting something a little different, so when I saw this one, of course I ordered it. When it arrived I was a bit surprised at how small it was, I don't know, I suppose I was going by the number of pages, and I thought it would be a bigger book. Instead, it looks to be more pocket-sized, which, if you like to take it with you anywhere, is a good thingThere are many different types of puzzles in here, including my mom's favorite, word searches. I gave this as part of her Mother's Day gift this year, and she has enjoyed doing the various puzzles. Now, I am not a big fan of puzzles, word or otherwise, but if you like all kinds of word puzzles, you might want to give this little book a try. My mom says that this really gave her a run for her money, and she is relishing the challenges of the more complex puzzles.

Teeny tiny book that is hard too open due to its binding. I knew it was a small book, but this is extremely tiny. Bought it for my 87 year old mom, but it's too small for her to read.

Disappointed in the very small size. I guess I didn't pay attention to the dimensions. I got it for my 93 year old father and it is hard for him to see and to hold it open.

I bought this for my Dad and he loves it. I can't believe how much he loves it. It's great to excersize the mind and its also a fun bonding activity to do with your family that is unwired and easy enough to not cause frustration. Fifty thousand stars for this little book. Would buy again. Great for people struggling with age or memory loss or for anyone just looking for old school stress relief.

These puzzles are much harder than I expected them to be. If you are looking for light and fun, this might not be for you, if you are looking for challenging and fun, this is a good option.

Ironic ... Smallest “big” book I’ve ever seen. My hand can cover the book. Wanted big print, have to work to hold it open.
