Good replacement for Dimples 5598 Mod C heater.
Slight increase in wattage (1200 to 1350) but fit is exact. Have to wire the temperature sensor into the circuit but it works fine. Great find.

The fit was good for the unit I was buying it for. I wish the instructions were a little bit better, but I figured it out.

Works like a Champ.
I purchased the heater element, I wasn't sure of what to expect, due to cost. I was afraid the element would be not be any good. I was wrong, the element was light in weight and came without installation instructions. I notified Amazon that I need instruction and within a few days received PDFs of product and instructions. The Element was very easy to wire and install. I was not sure if I would be able to install element without any problems. I took pictures of the existing element wiring and wired it the same way, along with studying supplied files. Tested unit outside for about four hours before installing into cabinet. Element has been working several weeks now and no problems, great product. Existing company, I purchase unit from was not helpful at all and wanted me to purchase a new unit for $300.00, they stated that computer was the problem. I purchased the new element for less than $10.00. I can't purchase another 30 more units at that cost. I would definately refer this product to a friend.

Great Glass Tube Replacement
Replaced the 3 glass tube heating elements in a Duraflame DFI-5010-02. Saved me $65 to use this instead. I had to make minor modifications. Also note that the glass was 1500w and this is 1350w. The price savings was worth it.

Wiring was different and connectors was on opposite side
Not like my original we had to do some finagling but its running excellently now. Also had to replace the switch that was as original but low is high etc.

WIRING IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH AMISH FIREPLACE!
The wiring is NOT compatible with the factory installed heating element. Would require extensive work around and you would need HIGH TEMP insulated wire. This also does NOT include the the THERMAL FUSE the original heating unit has mounted on it. A definite fire safety hazard!The manufacturer is DURABLOW, but this thing SUCKS! Oh, and of course, it's NOT returnable!
