I like to make my own apple boxes. Normally using 3/4 plywood I get 4 full-sized boxes from a 4x8 sheet. I was needing a couple of half sized for a project and, at that moment I had the money and not the time which doesn’t happen often enough. So when I came across these on Amazon I was at first surprised and then a little wary. If you’ve ever priced these anywhere you’ll understand my hesitation at what I considered to be a low price. But I figured if there weren’t the deal I thought I could just return them no problem. Wow. I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever make my own again (I give some away at times, I don’t consume them on a regular basis) I’ll be weighing the pros and cons of building vs buying. It’s well worth the price just to not have to wrangle a full sheet of 3/4 ply. First of all they are made from1/2 “ baltic birch ply -not the best I’ve seen but far above the quality from your nearest big box home supply. They are plenty strong and much lighter than my normal 3/4” versions. The two larger have the mid-box support on the inside. Nicely sanded smooth with slightly detectable filler here and there. Overall a very nice quality product at a considerably low price when compared to other options.

I'm so happy to have decided to add this product to my home photography studio! They arrived in perfect condition, very well-wrapped and padded. They're well-built and very solid! I recommend them with confidence. The shipping was just fine and given the weight, acceptable.

I've been working in production for many years and can definitely recommend these for their quality and value. My neighbor, a retired well known Hollywood Best Boy was very impressed by them and couldn't believe the price for a whole set. There's nothing precious about an apple box, but they do come bare wood and therefor require some sanding, sealing or painting. The brand "Proaim" is printed in small letters on one side and not annoying.

These are quality apple boxes. Great for the price. A must have in your film and photo studio. We got 4 sets and use them constantly. They are also raw wood so ready for paint for green screen or any specialty use.

Couldnt find apple boxes anywhere. Saw these on Amazon, and got them our my photo studio. Love them! They are very well built and only have branding wood burned on 1 side (I was worried about them having it on more than one). Would buy again.

I recently purchased a single box, the largest of the set, for $10 less than this set. This set was shipped wrapped and in a styrofoam type package inside a well marked box. For the price, you get 4 from Amazon instead of just 1 from a photography store. If I had space I would buy two more sets. Very happy.

I haven't used them on an actual client, yet. Just unpacked the box today. They come each wrapped in a bubble wrap and surrounded by the black foam cover x 2 and a hard cardboard box (plus the Amazon box around it). The apple boxes seem very sturdy and solid. I like the slightly rounded edges and smooth feel of the wood. There are a few areas of unevenness and potential of getting a splinter, but nothing that cannot be sanded down or simply "rubbed" off with use over time. I will be staining them darker. Right now, they are nice, clean and bright in color. The pictures from the iphone look more contrasty and sharpened, but the wood grain and the edges are much smoother looking than the pictures. The larger boxed have a supporting wood panel in the middle (you can see them through the openings). The whole set is pretty heavy, but that's what you get for all this wood. I am definitely happy with the purchase.
