Sound Town 8U PA/DJ Rack/Road Case, 8-Space, with 21” Rackable Depth, Casters, Plywood, Metal Ball Corners - Pro Tour Grade (STRC-8UW)

This is a nice, solid 8U case. Not mentioned in the description when I bought it was that a package of 10-32 screws and washers for the rack is included (39 of each). Some other reviews said the caster mounting bolts interfere with an item mounted at the very bottom, but that is NOT true on my case. There is about a 1/4" gap from each bolt to the bottom of my amp.

Good value for the price

First off this is a great case for the money. Just be aware that the plywood these are made out of is pretty thin, its fine for a band that plays a few shows a month but I wouldn't trust it long term for heavy duty use on a professional tour. Second and most importantly, the caster board mounts to the bottom of the case with 4 bolts/nuts. When you tighten them together, the bolts stick up too far and you cannot mount anything on the bottom space so go for more rack spaces than you will need just to be safe.

Not a heavy touring band but for what we do these hold up pretty well. We have two of this brand.

It has sharp edges on the corners, I sanded and filed to not get cut, beware of the wheel locks they will lock your finger if you're not careful. Over it's a sturdy unit and the price was right.

Really love this rack! Very heavy duty. A little on the heavy side, but as to be expected with a castered piece.

We got this for our ableton rig at front of house. Would have given it 5 stars, but as previous reviewers have mentioned, the bottom rack space is unusable because of the bolt that mounts the casters to the bottom. It didn’t affect our application much, but just buy with that in mind. Overall it’s a very sturdy case and you can’t beat it for the money.

Item arrived on time, but one panel is feeling loose, screws are missing, there aluminium is damaged. The photos speaks for themselves. Seriously, this is supposed to be a sturdy case for the road, yeah right….

We bought this for our church. We are renting a place.. so every time we have to pack up and move our stuff. It's quality is little disappointing. You cannot put any weight on the top and there is not enough ribits applied on joints so much chances to break the box if you put something on the top of it. Base made of MDx so careful about water contact. We made another box just half of it's cost with 8/5 plywood. It is good to keep on a permanent setting... From Ontario Canada 599.99
