Works for 10D
This T-mount was purchase for my Canon 10D for my Meade LX200 and my old ETX90. I wasn't sure if this T-mount works for the 10D since the title is so specific about what it is compatible with but no 10D. There is another T-mount in Amazon.com that specified that it works for all these cameras plus 10D but it is a little bit more in price. Since this is my first dSLR and I know that 10D is the only dSLR that takes EF lenses (the new dSLR takes EF and EF-S), I wonder if this T-mount wouldn't work for the 10D. I know the major differences between the EF and EF-S lenses, the coupling mechanism should be identical. That makes me think it is impossible that this T-mount wouldn't work for 10D plus all the other Canon cameras that could take EF lenses. Fortunately, I was correct. This T-mount works for all Canon cameras that takes the EF type or EF-S type lenses. I wish the description isn't so specific about its compatibility but leaves out some other models. At any case, the quality is solid and it works very well. I didn't notice any flexing with the camera attached to my scope. Happy with this purchase.

T-mount adapter
This adaptor is designed to adapt "t-mount" threaded lenses to Canon FD/FL film camera bodies. For many years the Canon Bayonnet mount 35 mm film cameras which took the FL/FD style lenses, were the industry standard. These original series camera bodies were designed to fit the entire line of Canon SLR lenses, providing the same excellent performance on the cheapest (TX) models as the most expensive 35 mm film Models (F1, F1n, AE-1, A-1, FTb, etc). This adaptpter allows Telephotos and telescopes to be used with these older style Film camera bodies. In the 1970s the interchangeable standard was developed which led to the t-mount lenses, most noteably for astronomical use, and for telephoto use in large focal length lenses, and the T-mount system would allow these lenses to be used on many different camera brands. Currently the most popular lenses using t-mount are mirror (Catadioptric) lenses. This system continues to this day, and the adapter under review is specifically for using these lenses/telescopes with the Canon camera bodies of that 'vintage' time frame. This well made adapter (t-mount) is cleanly machined, polished, and well constructed, fits the camera body well, (unlike some others I have had in the past), and is strong enough to support the weight stress of a long or heavy lens. The adapter is so well made, it glides on and off the lenses quickly and smoothly, seats firmly at both interfaces, and is a strong stable mount. I have several T-mounts which allow the use of my lenses on different eras of Canon Cameras, both Film and Digital SLR bodies. Highly recommended. Perfect for the use specified.

This is a 5-Star T-Ring for Canon. I have used others that are 2-Star. Details are in my review
This is a 5-Star product. (there are other T-Rings that I rated as 2-Stars) Here is why it is 5-Star: 1) The fit is exactly right. Snug and without play. 2) The red alignment dot is on the top of the T-Ring, so you can see it when mounting and dismounting 3) Opteka included the pin that stops CCW rotation at the dismount position. If you look at their product page, in the last picture you can see the red dot on TOP of the T-Ring, and you can see a small screw below the end of the bayonet flange to the right of the red dot. This stops rotation at the dismount position. I initially purchased the Astromania T-Ring, and they got so many things wrong. The Red dot faced the camera, so you can't see it when mounting or dismounting. The Lens/T-Ring rotates past the dismount position because it does have the small stop-screw. And the fit was not as good. You can read all the 2-Star annoyances in my review of the Astromania T-Ring (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0140U9KLK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

DEFECTIVE-Does Not Fit L-Mount As Advertised
Item absolutely does NOT fit any L mount cameras, APS-C or Full Frame. I ordered the L mount variant of this adapter and it is much too small to fit into the L mount on either my Leica TL2 or Lumix S5. Lack in product quality assurance and accuracy would lead me to advise against this product and company in general. The product just straight up just isn't what it says it is...

Celestron C-5 SCT meets opteka T mount .
Well its a simple piece of equipment to connect telescopes and small scopes to cameras. well i ve bought 3 and this is the 4th of brands celestron sucked/canon sucked/a meade was the worst/ and this one seems to be ok yet i have not tried it on the scope yet whit will put me out 1250 mm out mirrors and lenses. with out this part nothing can happen so small mirror lenses , telescopes for astro photography makes it work . Hooked up to the c-5 with a focal reducer its like f/6.4 at like 800 mm or 640 mm so it take 4 fstops off the lens and at night it is wonderfull a knob moves the mirror in and out to focus its not about speed at all and is just a great bird lens and this makes it all come together it looks stronger and beter than the others we shall see with the the whole thing set up really soon.

Perfect for YS lenses
This product is very simple but functions perfectly. I had an old spiratone 28mm YS camera lens that I wanted to use on my new Canon camera. The T-Mount adapter fit the lens and camera both perfectly. And now that I have it, maybe I'll see if I can find an old telescope on craigslist with a T-Mount I can use for nightshots. Anothe thing, the product is snug but not so tight it is difficult to put on/ take off the camera, which is a problem I have experienced with some other lens mount adapter products. Next time I need a product like this, I will definitely look for something from Opteka.

It fits. True to the 60 year-old standard!
OK. This isn't really worth an "I love it" rating, but it works as advertised and is true to the 60-year old standard. I have an old slide copier that was a T-mount and came with a Nikon adapter...in 1968. I thought I'd like to try it again with a modern DSLR, and mine is a Canon 5DII (full frame digital). What do you know? It works. The slide copier is a disappointment, but that's not the fault of the adapter, which did exactly what it was supposed to do.

I bought this product so I could attach my Canon camera to my Opteka lens and for astrophotography (connecting camera to telescope). Full metal Build, hard, and works perfect with my Canon REBEL t6i camera. I like how it also works with telescopes that connect to a T-mount so I can connect my camera to it as well (multi functional). This product is just an adaptor so there is no auto focus or anything to it, just an adaptor and a really well made one at that.

Inexpensive and does the job perfectly (in my case matching a camera to a microscope). A good, solid and well made metal adaptor (I was half expecting plastic for this price). Well pleased.
