Here's the deal for me. I love the scooter. At my age, I need a boost for long foot travels, so it's the reason I got this. My only problem with the scooter IS NOT THE SCOOTER but the directions. The way the scooter comes, you have to unscrew the front bar and move the shaft in front of the bar/screw, so it will LOCK into place. When I did that by guessing, I thought I messed the scooter up, but took it to a bike shop and he said, it was good, as I had done it. So now, I'm in a happy place. I think the directions should be a little clearer, for a novice. Someone who does scooters would have probably zipped right through without looking at the directions. But I am good now, and it is worth the price. Thank you.

I purchased four beautiful MiaWheels scooters. Each arrived with damage/defects. This review is for the Red, Green, White and Gray scooters. I will happily edit this review and change the star status once it is resolved.Edit as of Dec 16, 2018After numerous attempts through Amazon and MiaWheels direct, there has been no assistance provided. No responses to emails sent. No phone call returned.The only option I had was to request a return. I purchased 4 additional scooters and requested a return of the original 4 scooters. Once the new scooters arrived I received three that I wanted and one completely different scooter. I sent back the different scooter, red scooter, gray scooter, white scooter and held onto the original green scooter. I think this confused Amazon because I requested 4 scooters returned out of the 8 total I bought and I've only received credits for 3 scooters.After sending back the original scooters I realized that one of the new scooters did not have the kickstand and hardware. Bummer.1. The kickstand will not hold the scooter up on the Green, Gray, and White. The scooter falls to the right when it should lean to the left and be supported by the kickstand. There are no instruction for the kickstand. It would be nice if they included the instruction to install the kickstand then stand it up on the sidewalk and bend the kickstand into proper place.2. The kickstand holes do not line up on the Red one so the kickstand could not be installed.3. The Green one has damage to the rear fender. There is a cardboard piece attached to the rear fender to protect the scooter during shipping. It didn't work.4. There is black paint missing on the side of the scooter in the opening of the footboard wells on the Red, Gray, and Green ones. One side of the Red one is painted and the other side is not.5. The white one rides so much better... perhaps there is an issue with the shocks on the Red, Gray, and Green ones?6. There is a bubble in the Red footboard sticker that makes an annoying load popping sound every time you step on it.7. Missing rear reflector on the White one.8. The Gray one has an issue where it can't be tightened on the telescope bar. See video.9. Difficult to unfold and lock in place for the White and Gray ones.10. The Gray one is missing the handlebar knobs.I think these are beautiful scooters. I would like to have the four I purchased replaced. I hope this was a minor quality control issue and future scooters will not have these type of defects.

I bought this foldable scooter, In November, with the idea of using it for my office commute in D.C. I used it once when I first got it as a test run. It was perfect. For the next two months the weather was not feasible for scooter rides. In early February there was a break in the weather and I used it 3 more times. No issues. Great ride. Easy folding. Not to heavy. Exactly what I wanted. The weather changed again and I had to wait until the end of February. I took it out for a 5th time for a early morning commute, as I was riding on a smooth sidewalk the entire folding mechanism completely fell apart and pieces went flying everywhere. Luckily it happen when I was slowing down so I didn't fall. I tried my best to find all of the pieces but they must have been falling off throughout the ride. Needless to say. I would not recommend this product. Thought very nice in the beginning it only lasted FIVE 10 minute commutes. I can't imagine if a teenager or child was playing with this. It probably would have broken day 1. I wanted to return it but I bought it November and my time was up. Try a different brand or getting a folding bike if you're a commuter.

It just arrived. We bought it for our daughter. She was naturally very excited to see it arrive and we loved that it said it was already assembled. Unfortunately, after much folding and unfolding, we couldn't figure out why it would only lock in the folding position. It won't lock at all in the upright, riding position. For whatever reason, it won't 'click' into place. So we packed it up again and returned it. Very disappointing.

Edit:Received a new (free) scooter from MIAWHEELS in less than 2 days after I posted the review. I can report that, after a few hours on that new unit, I haven't seen the issues I had with the first one. Changing this review for a 4 stars (from 2). Love this new one!-------------After less than 1 hour on it, mine do not stay folded anymore. After looking into it, I found that the little shaft that hold the vertical bar on the scooter is bended (see the picture). I wonder now if it is safe to keep using it!. I'm 6 feet tall and weight 185 pound, way less than the advertised 220... I also had to pull apart one of the handle to get the push button to work properly.Now, what do I do!? only 1 hour in the parking lot !

This is the second time I order it and it is still the same thing. The problem with the scooter is that it literally won’t lock for any reason. The second one came in worse than the first! There are scratches everywhere and the stickers torn off and it looks just like the one I already returned. I need transportation and this is the only way I can get to some place to the next but it doesn’t even work. I’m frustrated and am having a hard time because of this product. It is not functioning and I can tell it’s been used before. Do not buy this product if you are in a rush or depend on it only if you have the time to keep returning the same product. Sorry for roasting I’m just frustrated at the lack of product.
