Bifen definitely works and create a barrier around your yard. Set your spreader to put down correct amount and activate with water. I have 10k sqft. yard, that's about 3/4 of this bag once, in a season. An ant mound will show up at the curb once or twice, which means they're staying out my yard. I disturb the mound, sprinkle 1/4 cup of Bifen, and activate with water. The mound disappears forever. My yard CAN be an ant haven so Bifin is a must. I DIDN'T know it could be used in my flowerbeds. So, I'll start using it there as well. I notice the ants hanging around my flowerbeds, and occasionally come onto my porch, which I keep terro spray so I can sit comfortably without checking under my feet all spring and summer. I'm excited to see how it'll work in my flowerbeds. I initially read not to use it there or around pets, but it's never offended my neighbors dog, who hangs out in my yard..lol. However, I'm now reading it's safe. Give a try!

I ordered this to rid my yard of millipedes. It seems to be working after multiple applications. Has reduced the amount coming out by 95%. Every thing else I have tried doesn’t work. Dang millipedes are tough critters.

Works really well -- I had spiders, mosquitoes/flies, and fire ant colonies in multiple places in my back yard. After applying this, the problem is over -- no smell or whatsoever, and very easy to apply. However, it seems that it contaminates the soil for a while (I haven't paid attention to that as I wasn't planning to plant anything at that time) -- so, you may consider this as a warning to be more careful about where or how much you will use it.
