Bought this "just in case" I ever needed it. I liked that it was long & it could even work for a mini doxie (I tried that to see) as well as medium to larger dogs. It's softer on dogs' undersides by being wider too. I had no idea I'd need it, but sure enough my large dog woke up in a panic & kept trying to get up but kept falling over & her eyes looked scared, wide, & darting back & forth as if she was having a seizure. I thought she'd stroked & this was the end for her. Not so, it was "old dog syndrome" (yes, that's a real thing) & completely survivable "IF" she had help standing/walking so she could potty & "IF" she had food & water brought to & held for her so she got what she needed, as well as something from the vet to help w/ dizziness/headache/nausia til the syndrome ran it's month long course & went away. My back has serious injuries & I couldn't puck up, carry or hold up a large dog @ all no matter how much I loved her. But this sling saved the day!!! I was able to support her w/ the sling under her lower ribcage & a leash on a dog harness (w/ this illness she had to be supported both front & back ends so a dog harness was needed too). I could let her lean against my leg for added support & assurance for her while I guided her using the harness w/ leash & this sling combo (she was unable to see because of the dizziness & uncontrollable eye movements during this viral process) & it confused & scared her so much!). She felt more secure knowing I was there to guide & help her so she didn't fall, flail around, & panic. She would've died w/o this sling because I simply wouldn't have been able to support her w/o it & I was barely able to even w/ it because my back is so bad. I hurt terribly but wasn't about to let my dog die because I couldn't help her move around when she needed to & get to the food & water because she couldn't see it right in front of her so she could recover. She recovered after 6 of the longest wks ever & I took longer to recover from the strain it put on my back; but we both got thru it thanks to having this sling when it was needed most! I only ordered it to keep in my emergency 1st aide pet bag that I keep. Thank goodness I did that & it was here when my dog had to have it!!!! I've used a rolled beach towel in the past for a different dog before my back injuries & this sling is by far easier & better for both the owner & the dog! The adjustable hand strap length was great too so I could get it the best length I could according to my dog's height & how far the sling came up above her back to make it easier on my back. Having those handles was so much better than trying to hold onto the ends of a beach towel & guide a dog that can't stand on it's own & needs guided @ the same time because it's too afraid to try to walk even when supported. This sling is soft enough to just leave under the dog while laying down so it's already there when you have to support the dog again. It stayed under & around my dog's body the entire 6 wks. The stiching & fabric did not tear, fray, or go bad in any way & believe it when I say it got A LOT of use & work. It's made well. I honestly couldn't have saved my dog's life from a completely short-lived & fully recoverable viral condition w/o this sling, a harness, & leash. I'm so thankful I had the foresight to get this sling before I even knew I'd ever need one! And I have it if it's ever needed again. If u need one or just want to be prepared like I did, this is a good one & can be used for multiple sizes of dogs. I can even fold this one in half lengthwise under the the belly of a smaller dog that's not as long bodied as a mini-doxie. It's versatile if your thinking isn't limited.

I purchased this for my 13 pound Shih Tzu who has been having some leg issues. I was using a scarf but it just wasn't doing the job. I got this in the mail and it is perfect. Perfect size, perfect handle length, just perfect. Thank you.

My German Shepherd is losing strength in her hind quarters. She can walk well, but she will soon need help getting up and down our porch steps. I wanted a simple lifter that I can quickly slip on to give her a boost on steps.My dog weighs 80 pounds. She is quite tall and slim, and I am on the short side. The Large sling is much too long for me to use comfortably. I bought a Medium, which can be adjusted down to a length that works OK for us. It is wide enough and strong enough to support her weight.The sling is heavy canvas on one side with a layer of soft, somewhat thin, fleece on the other side. There is no additional padding. The straps are sewn on securely and are easy to adjust. The Velcro handle is a separate piece from the sling. Since I want to minimize fiddling and the sling works without it, I don't plan to use the handle. When attached, the handle seems a little tight on the straps, but it works.

It was exactly what we needed. Easy to walk with and very durable.

This really was a great help to our yorkie terrier afte IVDD surgery. She seemed very comfortable in it. The straps adjusted to our height so we werent bending over.

Seems like a nice well made product. The interior of the sling is super soft. The handles are adjustable, but even without adjustments it was long enough to comfortably accommodate my half jack russell/half pug dog. He's about midsize. Unfortunately, he's also a senior with mobility issues. He can walk, just not very well when he's sore. I would use this more often IF, it had some sort of cutout design to accommodate a male dog's anatomy so to say. I can't really use this to take him out to pee. He would pee all over it. The sling seems to be washable, but why go through all the trouble? This would work rather well for a female dog with walking trouble or an dog that is in recovery therapy after a surgery. My senior dude also has potty issues in his old age. Sometimes he isn't even aware of when he needs to go. Poor guy. You have to be able to read his body language and be "quick on the drawl" to remove the sling from under him before he goes. I chose not to return the sling because I figured it could be used for another purpose around the household. Lifting split firewood perhaps?

We are near the last days of my 13 year old German shepherd. Her back legs generally give out halfway through being diapered. We quickly loop this around her before the disposable and she goes down immediately after. We add a cloth diaper next so she needs to be up on all fours. This gently gets her back up instead of us yanking hard on the handle of her harness. This was put to immediate use after arriving. My husband approves, and he doesn't approve everything I purchase.

This worked great when my husband used it. However, our dog is too heavy and big for me to use it. We needed it to get him up and down outside steps after back leg surgery. It worked better than using a towel.

My little doodle (22lb) tore both of her ACLs and is pretty much unable to walk at all right now. Initially I made a sling out of a shopping bag, but this is so much better. It doesn't cut into her belly and supports her very well while it's comfortable to use.

The white inner soft cloth is very thin. It could have been better keeping in mind the high price.

My dog was paralyzed for a while but this was easy to apply and remove when she needed to go out. Gave her support until she got her legs and strength back
