Good for fast media storage BUT not "bootable" on older non-EFI notebooks
This fast 60GB external SSD is probably the best bargain for most people using it as media storage. It is pre-formetted as exFAT which is ideal for cameras, media players, etc. and is compatible as storage for Windows 10 and newer Linux distros. However, I wanted to use this SSD for portable USB-bootable Linux distros (MX 19 and Solus KDE). This did not work because my pre-EFI notebook did not recognize it as a USB "boot" drive. I tried changing the first partition to FAT32 but that did not work. I used Boot-Repair-Disk (set to non-EFI) but my notebook would still not recognize it as a "boot" device.Note that this SSD is recognized as a "storage" device for Linux distros residing on this Notebook but not as a "boot" device.I have not tested this SSD yet for booting on more recent EFI/UEFI notebooks.

inexpensive, small, light, solid and lightning fast
The media could not be loaded. I needed a lightweight portable USB SSD hard drive to test out the new macOS Catalina and I found this one on Amazon. It's shipped 1 day, small, solid and extremely light, it looks great. It worked right out of the box, I just had to partition the drive, load the software and it's lightning fast compared the 1TB USB hard drive I was using. The whole process of installing Catalina was less than 12min compared to 25-30min on conventional hard drive. Turned it on and used for a few hours and the case is a little warm, the important thing is using iMovie and other apps extensively without hanging or freeze.I really like this little 240GB hard drive, wish I would've bought the 500G one, but this is only the test hard drive so it's perfect.

Generally impressed, but with a caveat.
I've been fairly impressed with this so far, although, at least while using usb 3 cable, it hasn't been nearly that impressive speed wise. One thing that I found a bit alarming is that it seems not to work well with a powerful laptop (first "gaming" laptop that I've had) when connected with a Thunderbolt 3 port where it seems to overheat and starts misbehaving...but that might be an issue with the laptop as much as anything else as it has not misbehaved when hooked to usb-c cable on another laptop....

Great product but careful of whats on it already.
I bought the ssd to use for extra storage for a net book. However when I first plugged it I noticed some video was already on it. I didn't think much of it and immediately formatted the device which deleted the file. I don't think the file was bad based on how small the file size was. Most likely the video was to test if the device works properly. So other buyers just format the device before using it. If there wasn't a file left on the device I would rate it 5 stars.

very fast and inexpensive memory for pictures.
I like how small and compact the drive is and how fast the solid state data transfer is. very good for the price. Would like to get another one but they are out of stock

Better performance than Smasung SSD in external enclosure
I am very happy with the physical size and weight. It is super compact and comes with two data cables. The performance was good too. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it is not the fastest solid state drive you can get but it is super tiny and light weight. My OWC Envoy Pro EX over Thunderbolt 3 is more than twice as fast for double the money.

Not as fast as hoped
Item came quickly and no problems setting it up. It is stable with windows 10. It is expensive on a per gigabyte basis but I only needed it as a caching device for eboostr which is a third party memory device. It has provided a 20.5X rating which is faster than my other hard drives but no where near my DDR3 ram which was 50X plus using windows 7. Eboostr does not manage unmanaged memory well in windows 10 and therefore the reason for the purchased. Since my cache size is only 8092MB the size of the SSD is perfect for this application.

Works like a charm
This works great for my purposes. 60 gigs is all I need. It doesn't copy files as fast as the description says, but that's to be expected. Even at 1/2 or even 1/4 of such speeds, that's fine by me. I got 2 drives so I could keep daily backups onsite and offsite. And a program called freebyte backup that does incremental file backups in a few minutes each day. Totally happy with both drives.
