Relatively easy to put together
Relatively easy to put together, but does come with some metal components, so don't forget your CYA-Glue if you're looking to add fine details. The scale is almost perfect for 40k Imp Guard, and works as a great proxy for Earthshaker Cannons.

40K/30K players rejoice!
I used this kit as a Medusa Seige Cannon proxy for my 30K Imperial Militia and it is a very compatible scale. Ultimately, the footprint is roughly 20% smaller than the Forgeworld artillery carriages though, so that's worth considering whether your gaming groups would take issue. Another thing to consider is that this is a historical model and is thusly much more involved to assemble. I ended up leaving many pieces off just because they were such a hassle to put on. Lastly, the wheels can give it away as being not of the setting or scale for my purposes. It just looked off, so I replaced them with the BFG treads from Victoria Miniatures which can be sold by themselves at a reasonable price. All and all, this is a very solid looking kit and with minor tweaking, it makes a wonderful and cost effective proxy for Earthshakers or Medusa carriages.

Great subject, but build quality D+
This was my first Takom kit. I was impressed with the box art and liked the uniqueness of this impressive WW1 gun so took the risk without any experience with Takom. I ordered from an online model shop.Pros:+ Interesting and uncommon subject+ Nice options for painting+ Option for long or short barrelCons:- A fair amount of flash - some of it difficult to remove on delicate parts, e.g., the shell guide wheels near the breech- A number of injector pin marks -- two on the rear of the gun shield that are very noticeable- A number of gaps that will need to be filled- The molding attachment points in some cases were huge and getting off several more delicate parts resulted in them breaking -- even when being very careful, e.g., small gun shield front supports (just use wire)- Fiddly photo etch for the barrel rifling (I almost had to give up on it, but finally got it to work after trimming and fighting to get it in). Should have just been molded in.- No shells for the gun despite being prominent in the box art- Instructions were okay, but some areas it was not crystal clear how to assemble or what it should look like.At some point mid-way thru assembly, I simply decided to just build it as is as best I could. Fit was not crisp. I was getting so tired of all the filling, sanding, trimming, and having to make replacement parts from scratch for ones that broke. In the end, it turned out pretty decent, but you really have to "want it" to persevere. I like clean out-of-the-box builds ala Tamiya. If that is you too, this kit may not be for you. In light of the high level of screwing around to make things fit and look decent, this is definitely not a beginner model.

I liked this kit a lot
I liked this kit a lot. No flash, parts fit well although one or two parts a little vague on final placement. I have a love hate relationship with photo etch, this kit has just enough for me. Photo of assembled but unpainted model.
