Activa Naturals Protein Powder

Not sure what to rate it. My fault for not looking at the ingredients and going by all the positive reviews and the item description saying it is "natural" (I always read ingredients too---hitting my head now). Ingredients include "artificial flavoring" and "Red Dye #40". What is natural about that? I opened it and mixed a scoop with about 3/4-cup of milk. It mixed fine and tasted very mild; not a real strong strawberry flavor, but that did not bother me because I always mix it into smoothies. I was reading the label while drinking it and just noticed the artificial ingredients.

The taste is a little strange but I really don't care I just get these protein powders for the protein and vitamins. None of them really taste that great

price is a little high, but the taste is amazing, my whole family loves it!

If you like the smell of cotton candy and a wonderful explosion of strawberry on your tongue -- this is the product for you. I was given a discount on this product for my honest review.At first I wasn't sure about not using my typical protein. I was buying small bottles of protein for half the price of this 5lb mammoth sized jug. A lot of times it didn't dissolve well, etc.I've had NO PROBLEM with the Activa naturals whey protein powder. Upon opening it the house smelled like cotton candy (which I love). It mixes well, dissolves easily without a gritty texture, and has a great flavor.This protein powder is an A+ in my book!

Read the label!!! We ordered this thinking it was natural, but it clearly isn't. The strawberry flavor had red dye # 40 and artificial flavors. The description above is very misleading in my opinion.

I typically have a strong aversion to the taste of protein powders, and have spent a long time searching for one I can tolerate. This just may be the one, the strawberry flavored powder blended so well into my smoothies I could barely tell the difference in taste between the smoothie with or without the protein powder, except for the noticeable taste of strawberry that the powder adds to the mix. It is not a chemically or unpleasant taste, and does not leave after taste like some health products do, which is what I hate the most. I also like that the powder disappears, even without the blender it is easy to mix into juice, although I don't enjoy the taste of it as much as when I blend it with fruit, put in some yogurt as well and you won't even notice there is any powder in your drink, except for the added protein boost.I've been making a shake with this as my afternoon snack, usually after my workouts to tie me over while I shower and prepare dinner and it keeps me full enough that I don't pick at dinner as much as I am making it, and then eat with more moderation come dinner time. Workouts, particularly afternoon ones after a long day of work, usually famish me, and I end up undoing a lot if not all of what I just worked off within a couple minutes of entering the house, so this has been a great tool. The all natural aspect of the product wasn't important to me so I can't speak to that. I do however like the size the container, enough protein to get me through for a while without worrying about restocking, there's even enough in here to share, and the price wasn't bad for the size. I did receive this bottle at a discount in exchange for an honest review, however that did not affect my opinion of the product.
