Decided to go with SMR 42, because previous one was regular clear coat instead of HS, its extremely thin, laying down perfectly like glass. Ofc had few runs on first spray, never had that thin clear but its all about your hand, i would suggest to keep 15min flash between coats. Sprayed few extra parts after that without runs, perfect mirror finish. This clear is definitely PRO, quality match with more expensive ones like PPG Deltron. One of my new favs!! Review: Clearcoat with awesome DOI (clarity) no yellowing and its very glossy!!! - Best clear for the money. Thick clear 2 coats is like 3-4. Buries flake and graphics well. Buffs out well. Do not over reduce it or it will dieback like 4:1 cheap clear. Either use a good gun that can break it up or just a dab of slow reducer to help the cheap guns. The china made porphis is as good as Iwata and Sagola guns!!!!

Best quality to value!!!
Had some issues with other speedokote clear, after few days some kind of white marks was showing up. Best budget clear my opinion
I’ve used this stuff on a lot of random stuff, it’s a great high solids clear. Has great self leveling qualities and is dumb easy to buff, seems to last, puts off a great shine too! Always just 2 coats with this stuff, Can run very easy if you’re not familiar with high solid clears. I use high solid axalta spies hecker clear coat every day at work and this sprays a lot like it in many ways

Best clear you can buy in this price range but I would buy Speedokote Glamour next time
This is no way a lesser product than Speedokote Glamour which is $50 more but if you want the ultimate high solids clear start with this and ultimately go with Glamour. I did wet on wet over a single stage (I know I do not need to). This forms quite a few bubbles, don't know if that was a reaction or humidity but overall the shine was solid.

Lays down like glass, great price
When I first bought this , I had a problem with pinholes in the clear . Called Speed Kote and spoke to a tech named Brad who was extremely helpful. Turned out the pinholes were caused by an equipment failure on my compressor which Brad advice lead me to. After addressing the problem, this clear laid out like like glass. This is now my go to clear. I am also going to check out their other products. Excellent product and excellent customer service. Thanks Brad. Bob

Quality Clear
This is a nice high solids clear that flows nicely but runs easily. Go light to medium on the first coat Give max time between coats to allow to tack up. You can get the job done with 2 coats but i put three coats for max durability, gloss and longevity.
