Schaum's Outline of Linear Algebra, 5th Edition: 568 Solved Problems + 25 Videos (Schaum's Outlines) 5th Edition, Kindle Edition

I purchased this textbook. Yes, I know. I can be THAT nerd that purchases the book with intentions to keep it. Not always, but when it comes to math, I've got a long road (filled with potholes, the kind that will mess up your entire front end type of roads) ahead of me so I might as well keep it for reference. Now, to get to why I gave it 5 stars, appearance. The appearance was exactly as described and shipping was prompt. I would order from Amazon and this seller again.

There's a ton of "review/refresher materials for Linear algebra, which is becoming one of the more important topics for people in many areas of "data science", stats/probability and other quantitative disciplines. This is a broad survey of material, with about an average emphasis on determinants (covered in depth in chap 8 of 13).Highly recommended

Solid development of this important subject, many detailed examples.

It is written well. The explanations are fairly user friendly. There are several worked out examples in the text. Each section then has several problems with full worked out solutions. Then extra problems with bare-bones answers given. It is helpful for self-study. For students it may offer a different take or explanation method than their standard text. This is even more helpful to someone out in the field who has been away from formal schooling for a while.

It could be better. There are gaps and assumptions about the reader's level of mathematics too.

I had used this text book, at first time in 1978, it still one of the best book of this matter.

Easy to understand to whom has studied high school algebra. Easy to follow examples step by step.

I bought this book to supplement my class textbook and it resulted in a disappointment. First, this book does not have all the material which I have in my class - no Markov chains, change of basis is given very superficially, no problems with applications to real world problems: chemistry, economics, finance, statistics, etc. Second, this book does not exist on official mhprofessional website. So I could not find any videos to those 25 problems they claim they have. Waste of money.

It's not well done. Some of the letters are giant, while the formulas, that are images, are inbelievably small. Use the look inside feature and check for yourself.

Questi esercizi sono veramente ottimi e permettono di esercitarsi con successo per l'esame di algebra e geometria del primo anno dei vari corsi di ingegneria. Purtroppo non sono riuscita a trovare la versione italiana di questo libro che sembra non sia più in produzione e mi sono dovuta accontentare della versione inglese. In ogni modo il linguaggio è semplice e quindi non ci sono stati problemi. Ho comprato altri libri di esercizi ma questo, a mio giudizio, è sicuramente superiore agli altri.

Very good if you have a lecture in linear algebra and don't completely understand the professor. I really like this book because it gives you all the basics you need for you lecture. It's also really good for working ahead.I wouldn't use it as a primary learning source, but for those missed lectures it's great!Highly recommend.
