What’s can I say. The mars 400s works a treat. Simple, easy set up and easy to use.The build quality is unsurprisingly good for unit at this price.Images quality great too but you do get a little letterboxing. Nothing I didn’t expect though so no issue there.My setup is untraditional because I attach the transmitter to my MacBook Pro and use the Mars for remote screen for my clients to view live images from commercial photographic shoots. Its a very welcome solution for social distancing too due to covid19 restriction on set.To be honest for the price I’m a little blown away buy the build, quality and customer service from Hollyland.I can’t fault it so far.Jonny RoseDigiBoutique LTD

I be brief and to the point:Build quality 5/5Ease of Use: 5/5Transmission: 4.5/5Being in the filmmaking space this is a great unit as it is extremely well build, very portable with great features and solid performance with minimum lag! Whether you want to extend your display in a studio environment or put it on a 3-axis-gimbal these work a treat. Would love if there was a bundle that includes a set of batteries and short hdmi cables a quick amazon search solves this easily. Very easy to set up and get started so if you are on the market for a wireless unit this one should be on your list!

Just as important as the product is the company behind it. I bought my first pair of 400s and loved it so much bought a second pair. The second pair for some reason has a fault and just wouldn’t work consistently. Upon contacting the manufacturer and support staff they exemplified 5 star customer service they offered me a replacement and I was so impressed with their endeavours to help and resolve my issue so actually ended up upgrading to the cosmos 600 such was the support. The product speaks for itself but just as important as any product is the customer and after sales service and take it from someone who has had a lots of experience with IT products the support from Hollyland is the best I have ever experienced

Just bought my second Hollyland Mars 400s set! Already had one and it works perfectly. I use it on cinema / high end comercials where stability and reliability are mandatory and Mars 400s never failed me!!!I can have video feed on two monitores with 2x RX and simultaneously on Tablets and Smartphones thought WiFi video.Versatile Power input, can be done with NP-F..... battery or D-Tap cableSuper useful!!!!

Well built, very reliable so far and low latency from my tests with a monitor via HDMI and the app connected on an android phone.It's a nice upgrade from the previous model, with that WiFi option and the easy operation via the screens on the Tx and Rx...Time will tell but so far, so good. Excellent bit of kit especially for video shooters that need to work with multiple screens and even send shots over the internet via the app to somebody on the other side of the planet.

When you take it out of the box, you can immediately feel that it is premium quality. The transmitting works great and you can even record wirelessly (up to 1080p). That said we are very happy with the functionalities.

Lange Zeit war für mich Video Funkübertragung etwas besonderes, teures und demnach seltenes.Klar, es wäre super zu haben, aber es war nur bei wirklich großen Drehs, mit viel Budget möglich.Alles dies ändert sich mit dem Hollyland Mars 400s!Ich habe die Geräte nun schon mehrmals bei kleineren, sowie wirklich großen Drehs, Studioproduktionen und auch im Außenbereich absolut zuverlässig eingesetzt.Die Bedienung ist ein Kinderspiel und auch ohne Anleitung kein Problem. Pairing passiert automatisch und hat mich noch nie im Stich gelassen.Die Akkulaufzeit ist auch Top - mit einem 970 NP-F Akku komme ich fast durch den ganzen Tag.Die Möglichkeit HDMI UND SDI zu nutzen ist perfekt für größere Sets - und die damit kommenden Kameras und Monitore. Die Möglichkeit auch die App zu nutzen hat die Videofunken auch für draußen zum idealen Begleiter gemacht - die Kunden bekommen ein iPad in die Hand und sind zufrieden.Und alles das, für einen wirklich unschlagbaren Preis!Ich würde den Hollyland Mars 400s uneingeschränkt empfehlen!Und doch...natürlich gibt's immer ein paar Kleinigkeiten - die mich nicht sher stören, aber sie sollen hier auch erwähnt sein.1. Die Lüfter sind manchmal etwas laut - aber laut heißt nicht "LAUT" sondern nur, in einem absolut stillen Raum könnte es sein, das wenn niemand was sagt, man den Lüfter leise surren hören kann. Aber, ein Bißchen Tape mit Löchern davor lösen das Problem sofort.2. Leider hat der 400s nur SDI Through, nicht aber HDMI Through. Etwas nervig, aber ein günstiger HDMI Splitter für 15 Euro löst auch das Problem.

Und was man dabei nicht vergessen darf: Die Produkte kosten im Verhältnis zu anderen Herstellern nicht viel, obwohl sie teilweise sogar hochwertiger verarbeitet sind als bei der Konkurrenz.Positiv:- Sehr gute Verarbeitung- Bildsignal an mehrere Endgeräte gleichzeitig übertragbar (Mars 400S Receiver + Smartphone/iPad)- Standard Akkus von Sony NP-F970 verwendbar- Stabile und direkte Bildübertragung- Transmitter HDMI Input --> Receiver SDI Output und umgedreht- Weite Übertragungsreichweite- USB-C- 3 Modi um Bildqualität oder Geschwindigkeit zu verbessern- Beide Geräte über Fest-Strom betreibarNeutral:- Latenz ca. 100ms (Wie vom Hersteller angegeben)Negativ:- Leider kein Lemo-AnschlussFazit:Mit dem Mars 400S kann man sich eine bezahlbare und professionelle Bildübertragungs-Funkstrecke leisten. Einsatzgebiete sind zum Beispiel am Filmset für den Regisseur, Maske oder Kunde. Zum Schärfe ziehen würde ich es nicht empfehlen, da die 100ms Delay doch etwas hoch sind. Aber gute, latenz-freie Systeme kosten das Dreifache. Gibt es zum Beispiel auch von Hollyland (Cosmo 600).Die Möglichkeit, das Bildsignal auch gleichzeitig an Tablets oder Smartphone zu streamen, macht die Funkstrecke einzigartig.

Hi there, I am a Film student currently studying and working in Germany.I just wanted to share my details first ao you unterstand my point of view.After a couple of questions answered by the awesome support team of Hollyland who were helpful and kind from the beginning, I was really assured if my choice for the 400s kit. Shipping went smooth an was delivered without any flaws 3 work days later, including a weekend.After a test shoot involving running around in a crowded city with busses an people crossing between focus monitor with rx an camera with tx and not having a single dropout I can say that we are more than convinced with the quality of the transmission.The receiver and transmitter are a full metal/aluminium construction.Setup went fully automaticly and worked right out of the box. We were setup in under 2 minutes.Only minor setback is the transmission delay, it works great for semi professional use, but not as fast as I would like on a big budget shoot.
