Scanned all my old documents / bills etc without any pain into my computer - pdf files. ( A note explaining that the 90 degree shield need not be up would have helped and speeded up the simple process). I may have just missed it! First class unit from Brother as usual.

Great Product
bought for our accounts department and they think its great. They are busy throwing tiny receipts and anything else through it and say its works great. From their feedback would strongly recommend

A fantastic scanner but no protective pouch is a cheat from Brother.
This was a good upgrade for my Brother DS 620 but it does not have a carrying pouch. I can fit it into the DS620 pouch fortunately but a portable scanner without a protective carrier is a bad idea. The cable supplied with it is too short for use and you need to be careful to buy a high quality longer cable or the scanner will not work. That said it is a great scanner for scanning. Brother just cheated with no carrying protective pouch big time and a too short cable to some extent. Had I not had a carrier already it would have been a problem.

This is a nifty piece of kit which not only does what it is supposed to do, but it does it very well. Very impressive!!

I disappointed for this shopping !
After 2-3 months I still can not setting it and can not work with that whereas I have another 2 brother devices for my business but this one not worrying !

Génial pour scanner tous les documents nécessaires en un temps record. Le côté recto verso et portatif est indispensable et super pratique de apr ma profession. Il me suit partout

Scanner portatile senza fronzoli, alimentato dal pc a cui viene collegato, scansione fronte/retro in un solo passaggio e funziona bene anche per i documenti in formato tessera come carta di identità, codice fiscale etc. Richiede l’installazione di software molto completo e gratuito da scaricare dal sito Brother ma si fa rapidamente e in seguito funziona tutto bene soprattutto per la gestione dei PDF. il funzionamento è veloce e intuitivo e il prezzo non eccessivo per le prestazioni offerte.

Ich habe den Brother DS-740 nun seit einigen Wochen in Gebrauch und bin begeistert von seiner Leistung. Als jemand, der oft unterwegs arbeitet, schätze ich besonders die kompakte Bauweise und die einfache Handhabung. Der Scanner ist leicht und passt problemlos in meine Laptoptasche – perfekt für den mobilen Einsatz. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Möglichkeit, beidseitig (Duplex) zu scannen. Mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 15 Seiten pro Minute erledigt der Scanner auch größere Dokumentenstapel schnell und zuverlässig. Die Qualität der Scans – sowohl in Farbe als auch in Schwarz-Weiß – ist beeindruckend und detailreich. Die Stromversorgung über USB ist ein weiteres Plus, da ich so kein zusätzliches Netzteil mitschleppen muss. Einfach an den Laptop anschließen und loslegen! Auch die Einrichtung war kinderleicht, die Software ist intuitiv und bietet viele nützliche Funktionen, wie das direkte Scannen auf einen USB-Stick. Für alle, die einen kompakten, leistungsstarken Scanner für unterwegs oder den gelegentlichen Heimgebrauch suchen, ist der Brother DS-740 eine exzellente Wahl. Klare Empfehlung!
