Cheap, bad quality control, stopped working after a few days of use

First one had a section of about 6 diodes that simply would just flash while rest worked fine out of the box. The replacement showed up and worked fine for about 2 days when all of a sudden one of the diodes started showing a wrong color when doing animations. After some testing looks like the green light in the diode has died (After using them for 2 days for maybe 10 minutes each) apparently there is a major quality control issue with these and I recommend just getting the more expensive neopixel Rings. I have Purchased and used about a dozen of them without any issues and these have failed 2/3 after minimal use. See my video for the issue.

A nice little bargain ring
Just about the cheapest LED ring that I could find on the market - I wasn't looking to sink a lot of money into this since I was just looking to test it out and tinker around. I work with a lot of LEDs but these were new for me. Overall, I would definitely recommend picking this up if you're looking to test it out!PROS:Very brightBeautiful colorsTutorials are really easy to find online if you haven't worked with these beforeCONS:Connections are a bit difficult, but that's true with most LED rings

Works as advertised!
First time working with individually addressable LEDs, and these worked great! Hooked them up to an Arduino Mega on the 3.3V line, and they lit up like a Christmas tree. They worked extremely well powered directly from the Arduino board. Also, they are extremely bright! I had to dim them down significantly in the code or risk blinding myself when looking at them. Will definitely be ordering more!

Something new for the parts bin....
Neat little light and that's about all I can say about it. It's not a perfect fit for the project so it's only had a few hours of use before it went back into the parts bin...All in all the concept is great, after playing with this ring I decided to purchase the individual WS2812 100 lot which should allow more customization...

I used them on my 250 Mini Quad and it makes it really easy to see at night
Bright. Almost too bright. Running the LEDS at max hurts to look at. I used them on my 250 Mini Quad and it makes it really easy to see at night. Although if you use this for a Quadcopter use, be sure to use an external BEC rather than the internal one from the ESC. Will draw a lot of current (about 0.5 A) and it could blow the internal BEC.

Buy More
As Tony (the tiger) would say: Their g-r-r-r-r-reat! Works fine, very bright at full capacity. May be my next ring light.

Great NeoPixel alternative. (Sorry @adafruit)
Great quality and easy to use. I have not ran into an issue yet and at a great competitive price to Adafruit. :D

Having fun!
It works, was a good price, and have had fun coding a bunch of arduino programs to make it behave to various sensors as a learning tool.
