UT210D

I love the small size of this device, I do a lot of inspection and testing quite a few panels. Very light so when you are flying for work everything that can save weight helps A LOT on tools weight overcharge. I'm not concerned about the accuracy of the readings as when comparing results with calibrated testers its always there or there about, It is perfect for fault finding and when I need to get proper readings I get a calibrated device for much more accuracy. The case it comes in with is a bit on the thin side so I decided to upgrade it after it almost falling apart. As you can see from the photos I found out that the SONY PSP case for 8 pounds from ebay does the job quite well

Bought to find DC leakage on circuits, didn't disappoint, quickly found the issue. Nice and small jaws for limited access, good strong springs, nice clear display and not lacking in functions. Would definitely recommend this tester!

The product seems alright as I have compared it against my Fluke multimeter. Readings were accurate, and I couldn’t find much to fault it, my only problem was that the clamp seems very flimsy hence the 4 Stars. As a professional electrical engineer I couldn’t keep it but for the occasional user I believe it will do the job.

I bought both a UT210E and a UT210D; this review relates to the latter as there are detail differences. I have checked accuracy on DC/AC voltage, and on resistance, and it is impressive. The UT210D extends it's current (clamp) ranges up to 200A which is more suitable perhaps for automotive use than the 210E. There is also a temperature probe (which works) and a frequency (Hz) range which will actually function on a non-contact basis if you hold the meter up against a light switch or other source of mains. The only loss with the 210D is the resolution on current ranges is reduced from 1mA to 10mA- this is a minor issue only in my opinion. The test leads are are of good quality, certainly better than those supplied with a Toolzone EL060 for example...but inevitably not as good as Fluke leads. This will not be your only digital multimeter, as it is auto-ranging on resistance and voltage...but you do need it in your life. Did i mention the auto-power-off can be disabled? They listened to me! Hurrah!

This unit lives up to the quality I would expect from Uni-T. It's accurate, easy to use, versatile and excellent value for money. What's not to like?

Very please with the quality ease of use and functions of this clamp meter. The meter is not being used for day to day work so cannot comment on the robustness of the clamp mechanism. The accuracy is good having checked it against a calibrate meter. Overall very satisfactory.

Unlike most clamp meters advertised this unit will measure DC current. Great piece of kit that comes in handy. Nice little carry case too!

Dopo aver provato due pinze amperometriche e dopo averle scartate e rese per vari motivi, ho scelto di provare questo modello che ha veramente tutto: Misura tensione continua e alternata, corrente continua e alternata, frequenza, resistenza, diodi, capacità, temperatura, sensore di campo elettrico cercafili, temperatura °C / °F. Ha la funzione di hold, retroilluminazione display, tutte le grandezze sono misurate in autorange È piccolo, maneggevole, semplice da usare, ha la custodia, due puntali, la termocoppia per la misura di temperatura, il manuale in inglese. Ho fatto alcune comparazioni con un altro strumento, le misure che ho fatto di tensione, corrente, resistenza, davano risultati coincidenti; Per effettuare la misura della corrente continua è necessario prima azzerare lo strumento premendo una o due volte il pulsante ZERO e poi “clampare” il conduttore su cui misurare la corrente. Ho misurato la frequenza di rete, dava 50Hz. Per la capacità mi sembra che ci sia una imprecisione elevata con condensatori di piccola capacità (decine di pF) e anche sugli elettrolitici da 10uF in su, ma su questi ultimi potrebbe dipendere anche dalle tolleranze dei condensatori stessi e del fatto che erano un po’ datati. Il responso della capacità non è immediato, è necessario attendere qualche secondo, specie su capacità elevate. Per la temperatura ho provato ad appoggiarlo sulla mia fronte, segnava 35°C, la velocità di lettura è elevata. Poi ho fatto bollire dell’acqua dove ho immerso la punta della sonda (la termocoppia), quando iniziavano le prime bollicine il display mostrava 65°C poi sempre più saliva e quando l’acqua bolliva pienamente, il display segnava 100°C spaccati ed era stabile.
