Fantastic book with incredible insight and sourcing!

Furr has written a small library dedicated to the proposition that Stalin's Show Trials were based on actual evidence instead of the abundantly documented tortures, threats to family members and wide range of coerced, false testimony provided in open "court". Interesting how the Moscow Trials were a model for the show trials held in Budapest and other "Peoples Democracy" regimes in the early 50s and the planned Moscow show trials only abandoned because the Boss died. Waste of time unless one wants to be a neo-Stalinist. If so, Trotsky sure deserved that pick in his brain for the unbelievable treasons with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, right ?? And the Soviet military needed to be literally decapitated. And all those millions of pretend Bolsheviks deserved a bullet in the back of their necks or breaking rocks in the GULAG. This series show the truth of what Stalin wrote: paper will put up with whatever is written.

Grover Furr uses primary source evidence to prove his points. There is no evidence to support the idea of the testimony at the Moscow trials being "forced" or "coerced." That is just many of the debunked anti-communist conspiracy theories that Furr masterfully exposes in this book.

Borders on the silly and is on a par with other conspiracy theories including that Lenin was in the pay of the Germans and 9/11 was an inside job.

What a load.
