Mr. Bean is a grown man who seems to have been literally born yesterday. He gets up to ingenious oddball nonsense every episode while all the time remaining silent. When he does speak, it's with a croaky voice.

Great value for money
Excellent quality

Excellent picture quality, though some minor purist niggles
Bean has been digitally remastered and the picture quality is a definite upgrade on previous DVDs, that said the first episode has the famous Bean falling into the street intro added then the episode begins with the original intro music and credits removed (no big deal but definitely felt a bit off if you've seen the episode numerous times like me) the incidental music can be heard throughout the rest of the episode though. The original black and white intro that was in the next couple of episodes have also been replaced by the street intro, but i'd class that as an improvement, since it's essentially the same footage of Bean. The biggest kicker for me though is them changing the silent Merry Christmas Mr Bean opening, so it just plays out in full with the theme music, rather than Bean dropping then fading to black and into the episode, symbolising 'Silent Night' on Christmas Eve.All 14 episodes and two deleted scenes are presented rather nicely across 4 discs. Also included is The Best Bits of Mr Bean that was only previously available on the original VHS release which was a compilation with newly recorded Mr Bean material interwining into the best sketches. If that wasn't enough there's also a really good documentary 'The Story of Bean' which features interviews from Rowan Atkinson and Richard about the origins and creation of Mr Bean. A definite must for Bean fans!Would've been nice if the Comic Relief sketches and other deleted scenes were included but you can't have everything!Overall a great release and definitely worth buying.

Buy Bean's Brilliant Boxset
Mr Bean all the way. Despite being filmed back in the early 90's when I was a young boy, it has, like Fawlty Towers remained a timeless masterpiece. In fact the fact it is slightly dated adds to it's charm. Now I watch it with my young daughters and we laugh at all of Bean's ridiculous antics. My older daughter does an impression of Bean when he wakes up in the episode where he visits the dentist played by Richard Wilson. Meanwhile my other daughter, who is just learning to speak, points at the D.V.D box and says 'Bean, Bean', so it clearly does something for old and young alike. In addition to this, my father-in-law who is Polish and doesn't speak English finds it hilarious because there is so little talking (oh by the way, if anyone doesn't understand the small amount of English spoken throughout the box set, there are subtitles) and it is purely the actions of Bean that make it funny. So to summaries, if you are looking for a well priced, consistent bit of harmless fun that can be enjoyed by all ages, genders and backgrounds, Bean's Brilliant Box set is most likely right up your street.

son loves it
My eleven year old discovered Mr Bean movie on tv at Christmas bought the DVD and kept asking for more Mr Bean videos. I held off purchasing as I wasn't sure if he would enjoy it as this series is now over twenty years old (makes me feel v.old when I realised how young I was when it first appeared on tv). He loves it and watched it all through summer hols. The lower star rating is due to the fact that although this product states remastered the sound and picture quality is not much better than old fashioned VHS but of course we have to make allowances for how much tech has moved on in the past 25 yrs. I think once you get HD and BluRay systems the old stuff unfortunately looks even worse than you were used to before.

Mr. Bean
At last you can now buy a complete box set of Mr Bean T.V. episodes. so any you have missed or like will be on these 4 DVD discs. there is also two episodes not shown on T.V. and the best of MR. Bean and also how MR. Bean was created. of course the man who brings all this to life is Rowan Atkinson. a great comedy actor and a genius at this kind of comedy. MR. Bean does not speak much all is done by the hilarious antics and facial expressions that alone are a scream to laugh at. truly Rowan Atkinson is the only person to bring 'Bean' to life. a gem of comedy of pure 5 gold star value and entertainment. so enjoy!!!
