Works great very strong & works better on algae than the smaller magnets .

I have an acrylic tank and bought this as an alternative to reaching in and wiping it down every week or so.It's an ingenious little thing and has made cleaning the inside of my tank much easier.The only negative experience I had was getting a tiny piece of gravel stuck between the scrubber and the tank wall. I ended up leaving a noticeable scratch along the inside of the front of my tank before I realized it was there.I would definitely recommend the scrubber. It even handles going around the corners with ease and simultaneously wipes fingerprints on the outside with the softer brush. Just learn from my mistake and watch for tiny pieces of rock getting stuck between the tank and the brush.

I understand people are saying this can cause micro-cratches. If you want to be safe, just get a piece of paper towel and use rubberbands to hold the paper towel in place on the cleaning magnet side. That way, you have a new piece of towel for each clean. No risk of getting sand stuck on the scrubbing side and causing any major scratches.Be VERY causes of using this magnet near the bottom, next to the sand substrate. Sand can get picked up on the scrub and cause major scratches. Learn from my mistake, or you will hate yourself for scratching your new tank.My biggest complaint is that I have a 3/4” thick plexy tank, and the magnet doesn’t seem to hold very strong. I need to clean very slow, or else the cleaning side just get loose and float.

We had one of these before, a smaller one, and really liked it. It is very convienant and actually fun to use for my son. You just float one side in tank, put the outside one near and they magnetically go together. Occasionally you just "scrub" the outer one, moving it back and forth, up and down. Easy! It really cleans the algae and keeps it clean after that. We keep ours there all of the time and use when needed.If I had to get one over again, I would order the small one and not the medium size. It's a little big for our 10 gallon tank but that was my fault as it did list it was for larger tanks.As far as the seller, they were very quick and had no problems at all with anything. I would use them again.

I am growing tired of sticking my hands in the tank. This works as advertised……..and I end up cleaning the front glass more because it’s easy with no mess or moving lids and lighting around. Seems a but flimsy for the price but it’s the original brand so……….

This cleaner works great. Magnet is strong and if they come apart, I can usually draw it back just by moving it near the inner half. It makes cleaning my large tank waaaay easier. The only problem is that u have to be really careful about not getting gravel or anything stuck in it! Best bet is just not to use it near the bottom. I now have 2 large scratches in my acrylic due to getting something stuck in it & not realizing it. I am extra super careful nowAlso, the scrubbing surface is like the plastic hook side of Velcro. It cleans the algae, but with a lot of scrubbing motion, which is part of the reason I have 2 large swirly scratches. I found that if I put one of the white acrylic safe pads on it, It takes waaay less scrubbing & I can move slower and more cautiously around the tank. Haven't scratched the tank since.

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this product after reading the review of the person who said it scratched his acrylic aquarium. However, all the other reviews were positive. I figured I'd try it on the side first, just to be sure it was safe.Absolutely no problem. The product works as advertised, and even better than expected. My acrylic tank appears crystal clear now.I am very pleased with this purchase
