This is my second time buying these collars for my two smaller dogs. They worked to repel fleas and ticks so well last spring/summer season that I purchased again this year, only this time I bought the ones for large dogs and cut the excess off because the small dog collars were not in stock at the time. These are inside dogs but do spend time out in the backyard when their humans are out and I have not found a flea or tick on them the entire warm/hot season since using these collars. They work for many months and we live in the south where the warmer seasons start early and last longer. I like that they use natural essential oils instead of harsh chemicals as my Yorkie gets sick when the harsher chemical drops are used. The one problem I have encountered is trying to take the collar off for grooming as it is a little difficult to remove, at least in my experience, but the collars work so well, I can deal with that minor inconvenience. The Yorkie seems a little put off the first couple of hours after putting a new one on, probably because of the scent of the oils (not extremely strong nor unpleasant, she just doesn't like the new scent, I believe). It would probably help to leave it sit out a few hours before putting on the dog. The Beagle doesn't seem bothered at all, and in fact, the Yorkie gets over it pretty quickly as well. Overall, I highly recommend these collars if you are looking for a more natural flea/tick repellant.

I've been skeptical of pest control products that use only so called natural, non-toxic ingredients, even though I want them to work. I've tried many "natural" products, but none of them really worked except for flea shampoos, but any shampoo works if you leave it on your dog for awhile. After shampooing, however, the fleas will come back, so shampooing isn't really the best way to keep fleas and ticks off your dog, but that's what I did for a long time as I didn't want to use toxic pesticides, especially for Violet who will have violent seizures after receiving a pesticide, whether orally or topically. My other dog, Suzie, doesn't have seizures, but I'd rather not subject any animal, including myself, to toxic substances. I would have given five stars, but I'm not sure right now if my dogs are completely flea free, but I've seen no ticks on them since wearing this collar. There is a slight herbal odor, but my dogs don't seem to be bothered by it at all. I will definitely buy the collars again, even though I'm in France and have to pay for international shipping and VAT as this collar is not available on Amazon France.

The collars are durable and smell good. Makes your dog/cat smell lightly perfumed with lemongrass. Inside of some of the tins smelled pungent of ammonia? Was weird. But the collars were fine. No allergies, which I have to look out for specifically in my dog Dante. He doesn't take well to the synthetic chemical alternatives. The collars fit well, careful adjusting them for fit as I almost choked out one of my cats, I was surprised she was so patient as I readjusted the collar on her. I cut off the excess ends and tossed them around in the corners of my house for extra bug smackdown. It works. No fleas to be found on my animals. Dante would certainly let me know since he's sensitive to even just a few fleas munching on him and will chew himself to bits. Before, I had tried a bunch of homemade sprays and topicals. But those applications never really last long when you're dealing with an infestation. I had ran out of my diatomaceous earth and the order was taking its time to arrive, so that's when I bought these. I've got the DE all over my house for extra bug protection but these collars saved our skins. Hope Shengkou never stop selling these and they only continue to get bigger and improve upon their product, as the only other natural collar on here is twice the price.
