Great product
Hello everyoneI am permanently disabled due to Bone Cancer. I am basically bed ridden. My only joy in life is my children. What I do to pass the time when I am not with them is watch TV or play games. My computer is in my office and my bed is were I play video games. I noticed that I didn't play games as much because it was hard to get to my office and back as I am in pain 24/7/365. Roughly a 6-7 all day everyday. So I got this and prayed it worked because it would allow me to be in less pain. It works so far and I am around a corner and about 20+ feet from my computer. It was super easy to install as well. I didn't have to even disconnect my computer. Simply took the side off to expose my motherboard and installed the device. The instructions are lacking. However it is pretty easy to setup.1. Unplug only your reset and power wires.2. Plug the power to the power wires facing each other and the reset to the reset. Then plug the wires back into the motherboard.3. You should have a free USB plug available on your motherboard. Then simply plug in the main part into that slot in the motherboard.4. If you don't have an open USB on the motherboard you have an expansion piece you can use. However you don't need it if you have an open USB slot. But what's nice about it is you can now plug in 3 USB slots if you want to.

Make sure your motherboard USB is enabled!!!!!!
make Sure your USB plug ins are turned on in your bios!!!!! or this switch will turn off your PC but wont turn it on as the USB plugins are disabled when you shut off your PC. SO with no power you will not be able to turn on with remote. This device works GREAT!!!!!!!!! my case switch is wearing out so this is a great alternative to replace the case micro switch.

I LOVE the product, but read this before buying.
If your motherboard only has ONE 9-pin connection AND you need a splitter/hub, either avoid this product, or plan to power the receiver another way. I LOVE this little remote, but I struggled to get everything up and running correctly. Most motherboards do not provide enough power for multiple devices on a single internal 9-pin connector. While the receiver is plugged DIRECTLY into the 9-pin connector, this thing does exactly what you want it to do, but the second you need to put it on a hub or splitter, it will not work unless the hub has external power. A simple 9-pin to USB-A cord and running it outside my case was my solution. If your board has multiple 9-pin connectors, buy this remote. If it only has one and you need a hub/splitter, just think ahead. Worth the money.

battery dies
Great product at least until the battery died a few days later in the remote. Not sure if they just included a weak battery or there is something wrong with the electronics. I was careful to put the battery in according to the +/- terminal markings inside the remote. Now I have to get new batteries and troubleshoot and then possibly return, not thrilled with the hassle.

This is so convenient
It gives the impression that it plugs into the front panel header, but it doesn't. It plugs into any 9 pin usb header, vor power, and there are wires that go to the switch pins on the panel header. It has a 2 to 1 adapter that will allow you to reuse the usb port if you have them all connected. The panel header is also a 9 pin, but the single pin on the end is in the opposite position so you can't mistakenly reverse those. This doesn't plug into the panel header, it goes into a usb header, and has wires that connect to the panel header.

I have two of these! Work great, with some limitations
I have two of these. One for my living room PC, and one for a PC that's tucked wayyyyyy below a desk They work great and they don't interfere with each other with some limitations. One: you need to be aware that they run on USB power. If your motherboard doesn't supply USB power when the machine is off, this doesn't work. This isn't a huge deal as both my motherboards do supply USB power when they're off, but if there's a power failure, these things don't always work the first time. I'd like to see a future revision of this device maybe with an on-board battery or capacitor to keep it powered up.Two: my second biggest complaint is the bare PCB of the internal module. On one of my computer cases, this comes close to metal contact of some pretty important solder points. Little electrical tape fixes that right up and prevents a short but I would like to see a cover for this device. This is a nearly perfect device. If Silverstone fixes those few small flaws, this is a 5 star product. I'd still recommend it if your use case demands your PC have a wireless remote for startup. Just keep in mind you might have to hit the power button manually once in a while.
