Magic Touch (The Legacy Book 1)

Fast paced
The mystery investigation apparently travels to the other books in the series but with different characters love stories in the forefront. Mark and Delia were snarky fun and I sincerely hope when everything does wrap up, the witch Senate will see how outdated their ways really are.

Terror , mystery , romance and humor!
I really love her characters. When I'm not reading I am wondering what is happening and when I finish the book I miss them. There is mystery and peril in this story. There are also new and fascinating characters not in the first book.

Love it!
Well written, slow burn, magical are just a few words used to describe this book. I enjoy every bit of it.

Stand alone novel full of action and humor
There is an overarching plot that is not complete in this novel but there isn't a cliffhanger either. It is full of action and a touch of drama. It was well written with great characters. The plot was well done without being too cliche or overly twisty. There are a few things I didn't care for, but nothing glaringly horrible. I don't like multiple magic systems per character. I find it is difficult to not make them over powered though the author does a great job keeping everyone (more or less) on an even playing field. I also hate exceptions to the rules. The author had rules for her magic system then (of course) there was exceptions without real explanations. This happened a couple times and while not horrible or anything... I just didn't enjoy it.I loved the characters. Loved the plot. Loved even the magic systems. Just annoyed about the exceptions and other little things.I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

Couldn't put it down
This is not a genre I normally read, but this series has sucked me in. Can't wait to read the rest of the Donovan sisters' stories.

Paranormal Romance Mystery
Magic Touch is the second book in the Legacy series about four sisters who are talented psychics and witches. Delia Donavan is a D.A. in Los Angeles. She has agreed to join her younger sister in a secret FBI task force with other supernaturals to solve a cold case murder. Ex-Marine Mark Cavan is assigned as her security detail. Their mutual attraction is undeniable, but Delia’s particular ability is psychometry, the ability to sense an object’s history by touch. She also can also read people in the same way, which makes personal contact difficult.Their personal attraction becomes the least of their problems when a secret organization intent on making the existence of witches public has their sights set on Delia. They want her to join them or they will kill her. Mark and Delia will have their hands full solving a murder and keeping Delia alive.Like the first book in this series, the author makes good use of the setting of Hollywood. Both books involve murders from Hollywood’s gangster history and the author makes effective use of flashbacks. I liked that this book focussed more on the magic and supernatural community as well as the two intertwined murder mysteries. The first book read more like a romance novel with some supernatural and mystery elements, which I found disappointing. This book goes deeper into the supernatural world and the mystery is more central to the story and the suspense. There were some interesting connections to the first book and hints of future developments as well. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy paranormal romance or urban fantasy with mystery elements.
