These shoes are great with one caveat: the sizing. I normally wear a 9. Zappos recommends buying one full size up. So I ordered a 10. Way to big. Ordered a 9 and a 9.5. They sent two 9.5. One is slightly large, the other is too small. Because I currently have them all in my possession it's pretty easy to see what has happened. They were making these shoes unusually small, then at some point they corrected the problem. I have two 9.5 and there are subtle differences. Most likely they switched contract manufacturers. At a minimum they got new Lasts. I would be happy with an old 10 or a new 9. But I don't know how to guarantee I will get the correct one. I'm tempted to keep ordering shoes until I get one that fits. But alas, that is probably more trouble than it's worth. So I'll keep the slightly large 9.5 and return the rest. I can always wear thick socks.

These do run small. Knowing that from the reviews, I ordered size 11.5. I usually wear size 11. They are a perfect fit. I like to put an insole in my shoes - there was just enough room. I never heard of Seavee before, now I will buy other shoes from this company. These listed at $178.00 and Amazon had them for $39 bucks. A fantastic deal for really high quality shoes! You really can't buy cheap shoes and expect them to be comfortable. Gotta love Amazon for offering great deals like this!

i love the look and make of this shoe but the sizing runs small, about 2 sizes which is quite a bit. I have average feet so I usually fit in my size. I returned and exchanged it for one size up which is still a tad tight but I don't like to go another size up. Instead I took the pair to a cobbler who expanded it for a few days. So now it fits better but I still have to break it in more and meanwhile get used to the tighter fit compared to all my other shoes. I like the shoe's look and I can live with it. But beware of this issue.

Good looking boots! Deep black leather with crepe sole. And by the way, the laces in the picture are actually gray. They come with 2 sets of laces (gray and black). I normally wear 10.1/2, but based on some of the reviews I have read, I ordered size 11.1/2 - they fit as expected. Get a full size larger as these boots run small.

MOD Squad"ish" for sure! These are absolutely GREAT, retro styled (actually I think they are the originals), high quality, real leather boots! I ordered both the black and brown. In fact I've already received a complement on the shoes the first day I wore them publicly. And as if that wasn't enough, at Amazon they are an outright steal!

This is my first pare of Chukkas and love everything about them except for the narrow toe space. The style of the boot is a more pointed toe than I realized and it is a little too narrow for me. The boot is really comfortable otherwise, but I would like a little more space in the toe area and think going up 1/2 size would be too big.

I wear a 9.5 in ll bean chukkas and in most other casual boots. However after reading the other reviews I ordered a 10.5 in these and they fit just right. Only complaint is the leather. Feels very floppy, unsure how we'll it would hold up under any sort of adverse conditions.

Crazy... shoes are not same size.. both say 10.5, but one is much larger than the other.Look amazing but not really helpful if I can't wear them.
